Interaction with guests
I won't be home so you will have the entire unit to yourself. Once you tell me your interests, I can email or leave detailed info on area cultural activities (jazz, theatre, art, etc.), shopping, tourist attractions, etc., as well as unique, off-the-beaten path attractions. I can also arrange for a driver if you don't wish to drive.
Smoking permitted on front or back patio. No loud music please as my downstairs neighbor is elderly. Carpeting is new so no shoes indoors. Please be respectful to my neighbors at the pool or in other common areas; they are a friendly bunch. Otherwise enjoy!
I'm a Brooklyn girl born and raised but have lived all over the country. California has been my home now (physically and spiritually) for many years. I have friends from all over the world and am known for making people feel immediately at home whatever their native country or language.
I love jazz, blues, R&B, everything from Billie Holiday and Ray Charles to Bonnie Raitt and Etta James. I play tennis every other day (here in the complex and at other clubs), look at the ocean every day and take walks on the beach or down by the lagoon with friends and/or my god-dog, McLoven ... Marquis, the miniature Italian greyhound in the photo is another god-dog but she's up in San Francisco now -- no dog living here at the moment.
I work in public relations and marketing, from home at the moment, and write short stories on the side. I went to art school a hundred years ago and just recently started drawing again - go to a Life Drawing studio every Friday. Started tai chi over a year ago; addicted -- puts me in a trance. You are welcome to join in on any of these or do your own thing.
Oh and I'm a great cook -- in a homey, eclectic, non-foodie way ... can cook anything from steak to gluten-free to vegetarian - make no judgements about what people eat ...
