Big bedroom on main floor of chalet - spacious suite has kitchenette/lounge/tv adjacent bedroom, and good quality wireless internet. Modem located on useful desk. Big private bathroom with tub and shower off of common entrance foyer. Perfect for 1 or a couple or max 3 adults or 2 adults/2 kids. Queen, single, single bunk. Your pet is conditionally welcome & must be approved and pre-registered on original request. The Thompsons are the hosts and are an active family who live onsite - welcome

The space
This main floor space in a large, near-village chalet is perfect for up to 3 guests with 1 queen bed and a set of single bunks. Maximum 3 adults permitted - 3 minute ride to bike park and flat, easy stroll to Village and W/B - includes free parking for one vehicle (May to October) and free wireless internet, cable tv and all bedding and towels. There is a private convenience kitchenette for guest use with big fridge, regular kitchen sink, coffee maker, kettle, big microwave with built in toaster (powerful), a toaster oven, small appliances, and sandwich grill. Dishes/cutlery. If you would like full kitchen plus a washer/dryer we also have a larger suite that permits 4 next door. The large private bathroom exclusive to the suite is located off of the common entrance (not ensuited) and includes tub, shower, and lots of counter space. Best location in Whistler - no vehicle needed so you can walk to all shops/mountains/liquor store/tennis courts/ball fields and cross country trails for skiing and biking are literally out the back door as we back onto Lost Lake Park so after a day hiking or biking jump in for a swim and walk home. You will drip dry by the time you hit your door. Non-smoking/no pets. If you don't want to walk you can hop a cab over to the village for a nominal fee or walk 3 minutes to the bus for the 2 minute bus ride (most people walk to village) Great for summer and winter. At times in winter we can accommodate a vehicle so if you want to drive up in winter please advise vehicle type/size. Blackcomb Mountain is closest for walking. Inquire about long term advance rentals - ordinarily 6 months seasonal rental or 90 days and note long term rentals start on 1st or 15th and there is no discount for late arrival or early departure - if you would like shorter stay book by the night but applicable tax would then apply. Summer long term rentals are also available and advance reservations for both summer and winter are required for best rates.

Sunniest, driest neighbourhood - short walk to village. Our chalet is located in White Gold Estates which is the closest subdivision to the Village and to Whistler and Blackcomb. We encourage no vehicles but we do have free parking but no car is needed as ground transport is really great now from both Vancouver and YVR. There is a nice walking culture in our neighbourhood which I encourage. Whistler is all pedestrian, rollerblade, and bike friendly. We can help you arrange ground transport/limo/mini van or make recommendations for reasonably priced ground transport. You will enjoy our neighbourhood which is on the flanks of Lost Lake, 10 minutes walk to Spruce Grove Park, 5 minutes to great grocery store and restaurants. 3 World Class golf courses are within 5 minute drive. Come and enjoy our space and we will be happy to steer you where your interests lie as there is lots to do in Whistler - or just relax and do nothing!

What a difference a year makes! Pam continues to operate Bear Trail Inn and manages select suites and townhomes and are strictly following covid-clean guidelines! As we are not as busy as usual Rod is getting more midweek skiing in. Presently we are not doing catered group meals but most of our places offer kitchenettes or full kitchens so guests may enjoy cooking in (or ordering out!) Pam and Rod are now following World Cup skiing online - no fans allowed in person. Our daughter Marielle Thompson now has over 50 World Cup ski cross podiums. It was fun to see her win an Olympic Gold Medal in Sochi in 2014 and lately met her goal of winning World Championships. Our son Broderick is on the National Alpine Ski Team and competed in the Korean Olympics. We were very happy to have two Olympic kids to watch! Broderick will be in Wengen World Cup soon competing in downhill. He is back on snow after his serious knee injury. One good race so far with excellent training runs. Those two are in Europe indefinitely while our youngest, Tess is back in Whistler -Tess completed over 150 shows with Disney on Ice but then covid meant a change of plans! Sad for her, but great for us. We are all enjoying more skiing this year! Our home in Garibaldi Highlands has been a popular isolation getaway and lots of staycation guests have replaced climbers and bikers. Still, we have you covered for stays in Squamish and in Whistler: Bear Trail Inn is open and in Whistler we have many holiday options depending on the size of your group so we hope you allow us to find you a space perfectly suited to your needs. We have a couple of dog and cat friendly places so please inquire about bringing pets too. We have enjoyed helping travelers arrange their west coast vacations for over 36 years. We look forward to sharing our homes in the Sea to Sky Corridor with you and welcoming you to the West Coast's beautiful mountains. We love air b and b and have stayed in Canada, Hawaii, Korea, and in Europe. We love meeting new hosts and staying in unique accommodations so we hope you will experience that when you choose to stay with us. We look forward to meeting you! Let’s all have more fun in 2021!!!
