Our stay in this apartment in Brussels was great - we were very close to the metro and able to get to all the sites. Viviane was not able to meet us at the apartment but made sure we were welcomed by somebody, and left some drinks and snacks for our arrival. A lovely flat with plenty of room for three people.

Viviane made us feel incredibly welcome when we arrived. She had left us a hamper with chocolates, beer and snacks in which was really welcome after our journey. The appartment was lovely, just as listed and Viviane even gave us information on the local area and bakery (which was incredible). Appartment was just across the road from the metro giving easy access to the city and there was a supermarket which had everything you needed just across the square. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Viviane and her family have been absolutely fantastic! Whilst Brussels experienced a lockdown, following the tragic events of Paris - Viviane first messaged us to suggest the possibility of cancellation and a refund if the situation hadn't improved; a wonderful honesty that we appreciated, which isn't often seen in some hosts. But the lockdown was lifted and we were set to keep to our plan of spending Christmas in her lovely and comfortable apartment. In plenty of time before our departure, Viviane and her family messaged us with thorough, eloquent and helpful guidance and instructions on how to reach the apartment, listing a variety of options how to do so. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Viviane and her family - they had put up a small Christmas tree for us, left some food and drinks in the fridge and freezer in case we were hungry after our travels. Along with a welcome basket with some Christmas Belgium beers and waffles. We had everything we needed in the apartment - toiletries, cups, pots, pans, plates, glasses, coffee, tea, seasonings for cooking; it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a wonderful supermarket just around the corner, which had everything we needed at a moment's notice. We were right by the Belgica metro line, which took us to the city centre (buy a weekly ticket or carry a LOT of coins for that by the way). Information and points-of-interest were given to us so we could make the most of Brussels and its surrounding towns and cities - all of which were an easy hour or so train ride away; Bruges, Antwerp etc. There are even some board games, books and CDs for quiet nights in, as well as a box of toys if you're bringing your kids. Viviane and her family have thought of everything. Not only that, she even text us from time to time to check in on us and to ensure that we're enjoying ourselves. Since we fancied watching a few Christmas DVDs, they even offered to buy a DVD player for us - that was certainly going beyond the call of duty as a host! Plus, when it came to departure day, they asked the pharmacists downstairs to look after our luggage whilst we killed time until it we due to go to the airport. A 500 word-limited review wouldn't justify the amazing time we had in Brussels, mostly because of Viviane, her family and her apartment. We can't recommend her enough and we'll have fond Christmas memories of our time there, for which we're extremely grateful for! Thank you again! --Adam and Kate.

Viviane was SO welcoming, and the apartment was beautiful, so bright and well decorated. The metro into the centre was literally across the road and there are some fabulous bakeries with bread pastries and cakes just outside (best fruit flan things I've ever tasted)

Viviane was absolutely the most perfect host anyone could ask for! We had a fantastic welcome from her, even without her actually being able to be there in person. Instantly felt comfortable in her home, it had so much personality and character and found a little note from Viviane in most rooms welcoming us again which really did make us feel so welcome in her home! We also felt very safe there which enabled us to relax and sleep easy! It was in perfect location as everything you need is within walking distance, including the metro which was right over the road so you can quickly head straight into the heart of the city centre. Viviane was also extremely helpful and left us some leaflets on things to see in Brussels and some helpful little guides. We were only there for a couple of days but would have loved to have stayed longer, the apartment was so homely that no matter how long I was there, I would never have felt homesick. I can not recommend Viviane's place any more, I will 100% not be able to stay anywhere else in Brussels after being spoilt by staying here!

Lovely, spatious and cozy apartment, just like in the description, with a fully furnished kitchen and all the amenities one might need.We absolutely loved the welcome basket. Very close to public transport and easy to get to from the airport. You could even walk to the center in under 30 minutes. Also, a lot of easy to get to markets around for daily shopping needs. Would love to come back if the occasion arises.
