John arrived with their partner and from the very beginning we had many issues with them. As can been seen from our previous Airbnb reviews we have not had any major issues and small problems of course are resolved as soon as possible. My review of John stay and his complaints are the following: 1.They complained that the television was not working. The problem was NOT that is was not working but that the electricity fuse had gone. The only thing John needed to do was to switch the fuse back on again. Instead they complained and we had to send around our house manager to do a 20 second job. 2.John can’t replace even a light bulb, we had to send out our house manger to change the light bulb. 3.Pool loosing water. We are checking to see if this is true. 4.Auto switch on the air conditioning broken. We have repaired this. This said John let the air conditioner run 24h/7 days a week even when they were not there all day long. 5.Kitchen furniture broken. Before John and their partner arrived the kitchen chairs were fine. After they left all were broken. 6.Cleaning of the house. This issue was resolved the following day our cleaning service spent another 6 hours cleaning at our costs. 7.John complained that since they are waiting for the house manager they cannot leave the house. We mentioned several times the house manager has keys and they do not have to wait. 8.Because our sunbeds are laid out for a miximum 100kgs and unfortunately John would brake them we organized and bought some extra sunbeds for them. 9.Right from the beginning John photo any “evidence” that they could find to hand over to Airbnb and request a reimbursement. It is clear from John behaviour that from the beginning they were looking how to complain and get their money back from Airbnb. Several times he requested money as reimbursement and when we stated that we would but only at the end when we know if the house has been left in good order, John went to Airbnb directly to complain. This is sad since up to now we have had wonderful guests and none have complained or ever requested reimbursement from Airbnb. Worse we take our responsibilities as host very serious and corrected any issues as soon as possible (even late in the evening or weekends). We have spent over 400 euros since we had to call out our house manager several times to check John’s complaints.
A wonderful, spacious house - no neighbours and all the peace and quiet one could wish for. We were there the first week of January, so we didn't get to use the terraces, but I can imagine that it will be a wonderful place to spend spring and summer.
