I shared the house with three others and we had way more room than expected. House is beautiful in a safe, quiet area of town. Very close to downtown with plenty of food options nearby. The house comes stocked with all kinds of food and drinks so you don't have to go to the grocery store the first day. Ted and Renee couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable - definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Ted and Renee's house was wonderful. The house has spacious rooms with vintage charm. The best sleep I had on my trip was in their middle bedroom ( and I have a hard time sleeping away from home). They provided everything you could need in a house, from a Keurig coffee maker to a waffle iron. In addition, they were wonderful host; extremely friendly and helpful when we had issues with our rental car. I would definitely stay here again.

Roomy house for 3 sisters and our 3 spouses. Large lovely bedrooms with comfy beds (+ good closets for old house). Nice Living Room with big TV, adjacent to Dining Room. We loved having a Very well equipped and stocked kitchen to make coffee/breakfast, then enjoyed sitting on front porch to read. Bathrooms had every thing you might have needed or forgotten. The Bungalow is well situated, it was easy to get downtown, or out to Springhill. Ted and Renee are great hosts. Reminded us of when we used to stay with our Aunt here in Mobile.

Thank you, Lisa. We are so grateful for the opportunity to host you while you were in town for a family wedding. It's good to hear that despite the tropical storm, your family still had a great time. Please come back and stay with us soon! We love to help out families who have ties to Mobile....

Fantastic experience thanks to Ted and Renee, their communications, and most importantly their home. The only fault we could find was that the pictures did not do the house justice, in real life it was much better. Also very close to supermarket (walking distance 400 meters). We will be back here again.

This is a great place to stay. Clean, great hospitality and convenient. We relaxed on the back porch in the mornings drinking coffee, shopped all day two days in Fairhope and then back to the house to relax and unwind on the front porch in the evenings. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and modern. Highly recommend staying at this home.

Our stay at Ted's place, in Mobile, AL was wonderful. His wife welcomed us and explained pretty much everything we needed to know around the house, and our neighborhood. The house is just amazing. It's clean, big, with everything you possibly need. Also, the hosts left us some food and drinks, which was great. Would highly recommend this host and his great house. Loved it.

Response from Ted:
Thanks, Danilo. It was a pleasure to host you and your friends. You were so kind and personable and took great care of our house. (Thanks for leaving it so neat before you left.) Hope you had a great time at the wedding. Ted and I are especially happy when we can help out friends and families who are in town to visit with loved ones. Know that you have a home here in Mobile when you visit next.

I fell in love with Mobile when I moved here from Birmingham, Ala., in the early 70's to attend the University of South Alabama, and I've been here ever since. I loved the historic architecture of the Midtown and Downtown areas of Mobile so much that I decided I would build my career around classic architecture. Since my college days, I embarked on a long career that includes restoring much of the historic homes in Mobile and in New Orleans' famous French Quarter. From there, I used that experience to design and build new homes in classic architectural style. A trip to Paris in my 20's to begin my study of the architecture there has influenced the path of my life more than anything. I have traveled to Paris for more than 30 years now to immerse myself particularly in the study of stone masonry architecture. In the mid-1990's, I took a leap of faith and created the DAC-ART Building System, a method of designing and building with "concrete stone" masonry that looks exactly like the beautiful limestone buildings in Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and other great cities. Like these great buildings, my DAC-ART homes are built to last for many generations, requiring little maintenance and withstanding storms better than any other homes built today. ( "DAC-ART" to see some of my designs.) Great homes are my passion, and if you would like to visit Renee and me in Mobile, I think you'll understand why I made this place my home so many years ago. Because of DAC-ART, my custom home design business, I have clients all over the country, and that gives me the opportunity to explore their hometowns and meet people from their home states in New York, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, California, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Washington D.C., Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi, to name a few. Exploring other places and cultures is one of the best perks of my profession, and Renee and I would love to share our city with you! Hope to hear from you soon...
