The space

We welcome you to our holiday apartment „The Pomologist“. When designing this spacious apartment we put great effort into combining its classical old-style charm with modern comforts. The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of a turn-of-the-century tenant house. On a total living-space of 115 m² you will find: 2 bedrooms (a king king-size bed of 160 cm with separate mattresses, each room with a seating area that invites you to relax, bury yourself in a book or enjoy a cup of coffee just for two), a large living room (with a big convertible sofa), 2 bathrooms (each with a toilet and shower, the larger one with a rain shower and bathtub), a large, bright, fully equipped kitchen with seating for 6 people. During the recent renovation of the apartment we put great emphasis to preserve the classical charm of the historical dwelling (sanded floors, stucco, large double doors, soundproofed wooden windows). The furnishing is a mix of modern equipment and traditional elements.
After a busy day in Wroclaw or the surrounding region or on a rainy day you can explore our extensive private library (many books on Wroclaw and Silesia, but also fiction and DVDs/Blu-Rays). Read about the chequered history of this city, discover off-the-track-places or follow famous investigator Eberhard Mock on his crime investigation in the pre-war city (the mentioned literature is available in English). Watch a 3D-movie with the kids on our large flat screen TV or use its (Hidden by Airbnb) function to chat comfortable with the ones who stayed home.
The holiday home is located in the ul. Komuny Paryskiej, a side street with shops for daily necessities (bakery, butchery, organic food store) and a small pizzeria in the building next-door – it is 600 meters to the former city moat (Podwale) and an 18-20 minute walk will take you to the magnificent market square. You will find a bus and tram stop 150 meters from the holiday home. The Centennial Hall (World Heritage Site) with the Zoo and the Jewish Cemetery can also be reached in a good half-hour walk.
If available we can offer secure underground parking on request for 7 Euro/day just in 150 m distance from the apartment.

Nils was easy to contact and welcomed us into the flat. The flat was spacious, clean and quiet. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, it is pretty on the inside. The only drawback was that the sheets for the beds were not dry so we had to spend some time putting them in…

Response from Nils:
Hi Sarah, sorry again for the sheets. I think there was just a small miss communication. I wasn´t aware that our cleaning lady put sheets on the bed which were not totally dry. She told me, that all the sheets on the bed were fresh from the cupboard. When I wrote the note I thought you woukd have to take 2 bed and pillows covers from the balcony or as an alternative from the dryer, which still had to run for an hour when you arrived. I never would asked our guests to do the dry cleaning for us. Sorry again for the inconvenience and the misunderstanding.

This is a spacious, clean, tastefully furnished apartment in a circa 1905 building. The unit was one of the highlights of our trip. The space, furnishings, books, and washer/dryer made for a great place to hang out in after a full day of sightseeing in scenic Wroclaw. Don't be …

The neighborhood and building entry were rundown but safe and convenient. Very spacious nice apartment and Nils made us welcome and even sent map by text to show my wife a good running path. We walked to old city and everywhere. Enjoyed the visit very much.
