Other things to note

Architectural styles of Pigneto
The historical part of Pigneto built between 1920 and 1940 is based on numerous architectural styles, dall'umbertino eclectic, from baroque to art nouveau, often representing them in economic forms through stucco, but sometimes also using travertine.
Of course, since the building almost always popular, most is still somewhat anonymous.
After the war will join several other buildings in an intensive and popular; the entire area is therefore characterized by the presence of building types among their heterogeneous mainly residential:
buildings of industrial architecture in the area, focused towards Porta Maggiore and the northernmost part of the village and reused or reused in various ways.
the beautiful area of cottages in Liberty (kudos to the company for Termini railway workers for the design of public housing that had).
Even if the style base used for the villas was indeed poor "embellishments", many were customized according to the taste of those years in the style liberty geometric; these embellishments were obtained with the use of only the plaster and stucco reliefs and then according to one embodiment in fact very economical; characteristic was the use of squaring of windows and doors, and small portions of walls that were maintained with a plaster left rough rustic and using geometric friezes, usually square and sometimes diamonds and circles, highlighted by a different color ; normally the houses are two-tone: a light color, usually white, but sometimes you can see a yellow light ocher (I do not know 'whether original or contemporary liberal interpretation); with light colored were colored small portions of walls enclosed by stucco, stucco windows and doors and the corners of the building; for the bulk of the area they used a pastel color medium dark, usually on red ocher or yellow ocher.

This was a lovely area outside of hustle of Rome. It is in a quiet area away from the city and the little town of Pigneto was certainly a lively place at night although you have to walk about 5 minutes to the main street. The listing matched the description and the A/C was certainly a nice touch during the summer months. The kitchen/dining room was a bit tight for three people, but it is not that much of a concern if you are planning to eat out. Glad we had a chance to stay in a local area!

Giuseppe was very responsive and accommodating. We booked our reservation last minute and changed our arrival time with no problem. Pigneto is a quiet little modern residential neighborhood, an easy walk to central historic Rome. The apartment was fine, had everything we needed--no frills but nothing to complain about either. My family and I enjoyed our stay in Pigneto.

Giuseppe was very nice. Managed for us a late night check in and gave us all informations needed. Allways on the phone in the case of need. The flat has really nice terrace and it is located in lovely part of Rome, full of fancy bars and snacks. Not far from centre.
