This cottage and the main home were built in the late 1940s. We have owned this property since 1987 and have done extensive renovations. Renovation and remodeling is a life-style with us. Both of us are gardeners. Dave attends to the vegetables while Patti is responsible for the succulents and cacti. Those who visit during the Spring can expect to be rewarded with a variety of cacti in bloom. Retired, Dave not only has time for property projects, he is also available to guests to meet their needs, answer questions, and offer advice.
We both enjoy entertaining. After years of hosting friends and relatives, we decided to open our cottage to travelers. We enjoy meeting people and introducing them to the wonders of the desert. During your visit, you can expect us to respect your privacy but have the reassurance that we are on the property should you need anything during your visit. Our close presence provides security, especially for those traveling alone.
Patti works as an administrator for the local school district and is also an accomplished artist. Her studio is currently under construction and she anticipates a creative surge once it is completed. Dave enjoys outdoor activities. Our mutual love for reading is reflected in the collection of books available to our guests.
Our life-style is very casual and low-key. We've learned to be early risers to enjoy the best part of the day. We do enjoy road trips and visiting out-of-way places. We are animals lovers and our dog, Barney, is an experienced traveler as well.
