Fantastic host, very quick at responding to requests and a smooth process. Was a great stay and would certainly book again and recommend to others.

PROS: -One of the least expensive rentals in Palo Alto - especially for the size. -Very centrally located - a quick walk to CA Ave and Caltrain station. -Very clean, basic accommodations. -JT was responsive, polite and helpful. CONS: -The train is loud (because it is literally across the street). If you are sensitive to noise, you should pick someplace else. THINGS TO NOTE: -Washer and dryer are not in the unit and are coin-operated. -JT makes a point of mentioning that he provides starter supplies only. I found this unusual for an Airbnb rental (usually there is an unlimited supply of toilet paper, for example). That said, there turned out to be enough of almost everything. -Note the $9/day utility fee. It is mentioned in the listing - however, I missed it and was surprised when I owed an additional $90 for a 10-day stay.

Parveen, I am glad you enjoyed your stay and was able to find some time to walk to town. There's so much to offer downtown (restaurants, shops, pubs, cafes, and more!)

I should say that aside from logistics, the actual home was good. Found the place fine and check-in was easy. However my overall experience was quite frustrating. I booked 3 nights. The host confirmed, then later called me saying I could not stay on the last night as he had double booked. I found alternate lodging that night. Then on the second day the host told me he now had availability for the last night, and offered to change my reservation. I accepted and cancelled my alternate lodging. Then the host tells me he did the same thing again! I had to find alternate alternate lodging.

We were three colleagues that stayed for four weeks for a business accelerator program in Palo Alto. Our host was excellent at communicating with us both before and after check-in, at following up and in fixing any issues we had during the stay. The rooms were well sized and equipped (although we of course would have preferred – but did not expect – three bedrooms to avoid having one person sleeping in the living room). There were some minor issues with the WiFi the last week or so of our stay, and we had an unpleasant smell the first week that faded away. The busy road and train tracks across from that road awoke us the first nights, but we got accustomed to it. The walk/bike-ride into the center of Palo Alto each morning took 30/10 minutes through quiet neighborhoods, and was a good way to start the day. Also nice to have dedicated parking off the street for our car.

The interior of the apartment was in good shape, however the exterior of the building could use some improvements. The location is very close to the office, but was too close to the train tracks. The property doesn't have the walls or windows to insulate the apartment from the noise made by the trains passing by. There was cable TV which was a nice perk and the Wi-Fi worked great. Everything was very clean.
