What a fantastic apartment, modern furniture and decor with really comfy bed and roomy bathroom. The terrace was amazing with beautiful views to be enjoyed day and night. It was so lovely to explore the village (all a walk) with it's bars restaurants and amazing food and drink. Perfect retreat after a few hectic days in Pisa and Florence and great location to jump in the car and visit Sienna , Montepulciano, Pienza, Radicofani and more. Can't recommend enough, thank you Matteo.

We had a lovely, but short stay at Matteo's flat. He was very kind and accommodating, putting up with our difficult check in and out times. The flat is in a great location and the views were amazing. We particularly liked the patio as it was outfitted with sun loungers and table and chairs and had lots of sun in the mornings. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well stocked. The supermarket is also only 200m away, so it was easy to stock up on the essentials! Chianciano was a great base for us, and allowed us to visit lots of other towns. You will want a car though!

Wow, Matteo's place was a real breath of fresh air on our journey. We're on a 3 week trip with mostly Air B&Bs and felt more at home here than anywhere else we've stayed. Matteo took us in at the last minute after unexpected changes in plans, and he graciously waited late for us when we had car trouble before arriving. Then he spent a long time with us showing us the local map and telling us about things to do in the area. We stayed in the apartment (not studio). The place was spacious, spotlessly clean, completely updated, well stocked with everything we needed, and had great counter and cabinet space. The air conditioning in the bedroom was fantastic, and the bed was so comfortable. The balcony was spacious with a lovely, peaceful view of a 16th century church, olive grove, and vineyards. We could hear chickens nearby (never loud). The garden was private and fun to explore. We felt off the beaten path and enjoyed the greenery and quiet, but could quickly walk uphill into town and to the local Coop (large grocery about 10 minute walk). Chianciano Terme is not a major site seeing stop, but we were using it as a home base for other towns, and it was fun to be in a town with very few tourists and just a lot of authentic Italian daily life. We did LOVE visiting the Theia thermal baths. A 5 minute drive, it's clean, quiet, beautiful, very modern, and SOOO relaxing. We went twice! Overall, we loved our stay at Matteo's!

Excellent studio apartment with very modern amenities, clean, as described. Met Mattoe's mom who was lovely , checked us in and gave great local recommendations. Great views of Chianchiano Terme from the terrace. Excellent value for money. Short drive [15-20] to the beautiful montepulciano, val d'orcia region, pienza. Can do day trips to siena and volterra [ about an hr drive]. Would definitely stay there at next Tuscany trip.

What a view!!! Wine country's most beautiful vistas to wake to each morning and to end each day. Matteo was great about mapping out places to go and letting us know of a place to rent electric assisted bicycles to ride thru wine country. The place itself was beautifully decorated and the perfect choice for our stay in wine country.

Matteo User ProfileMatteo is a superhost.

Hi I'm Matteo! I love the nature and meet new people. I like hiking and climbing. I practice motocross. When I have free time sometimes I do jogging and mountain biking. I like to travel, usually just with a little backpack, trying to visit a different place every time.
