Spacious, quiet and light-filled, two-bedroom, third-floor apartment in Victorian building overlooking the Connecticut River and NH mountains. Gourmet kitchen/dining and luxury bath with soaking tub. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping, movies.
Our apartment is a great place for a romantic getaway or a visit to the hip and charming town of Brattleboro and the whole area of Southern Vermont. Explore rivers, lakes and mountains in the area as well as art and music events. Great restaurants within walking distance and artisan boutique shops. Canoe and kayak rental a few minutes away. Easy drive to everything, or leave your car and walk.
The apartment is both cozy and spacious. The living and kitchen/dining areas provide a perch-like view of river and mountains of Southern Vermont. The apartment was renovated 8 years ago, opening up the Victorian cupola to provide a lovely eating area and raising the ceilings for a feeling of open ease. The bedroom is cozy with slanted roofing in part and large closet. Ceiling fans in each room. Great comfort for sleeping.
Second bedroom is used as an office. We are only accepting reservations for one or two people at this time. Access to the entire kitchen for your stay. We can leave basics for breakfast for your convenience.
The entire apartment is for guest use - close to 1,000 square feet, with the exception of one closet in the back bedroom/office. One off street parking spot is included, located in the back of the apartment.
Interaction with guests
We will be offsite during listings, but have a friend in the building who is available if necessary. Otherwise, guests are welcome to communicate with us via email.
Other things to note
Our preference is for booking one or two guests in our apartment at this time. The other apartments in the building are rented by single occupants, so consideration of noise when entering and leaving the building is important.
No pets, children or smoking. Quiet after 10pm. This is our own apartment that we make available through Air BnB. Please be respectful and leave it in the best condition as if it were your own home.

My husband, Jack, and I traveled the globe for 30 years, working for the Experiment in International Living and the School for International Training, located in Brattleboro, Vermont. We worked in the field of applied linguistics and intercultural communication. Early on, we also connected with Buddhist meditation and all of the deep teachings from that tradition. I am the now the Guiding Teacher at Vermont Insight Meditation Center and Jack is also a teacher there - We look forward to sharing our beautiful apartment with travelers who seek some peacefulness during their visit to Southern Vermont.
