Our riverside Penthouse with stunning 360 degree views of London sits in the heart of cobbled, historic Rotherhithe village. We are between central London, Shoreditch and Canary Wharf. Two friendly flat mates share the spacious 4 bedroom house.

The space

It's a pretty iconic oval shaped open plan living space that's currently shared with two easy going 30 something flat mates. We've got 4 bedrooms and lots of outside balcony and roof space brilliant for lounging on a sunny day and watching the sunset turn into a magical London skyline at night. All the London icons are visible Tower Bridge, St Pauls, London Eye, The Shard, Gherkin, BT Tower, Canary Wharf and way beyond.

Guest access

We have a large television, separate laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing board, wireless internet and baby grand piano. The ensuite is a shower room and the master bathroom has a bath.

Interaction with guests

Dan and I have lived here together for 7 years as flat mates. It's an open friendly atmosphere and we are used to living with people. You may see us cooking and chatting in the kitchen but as the house is big there's plenty of space to ourselves.
From late March my lovely friend Chrissy will be staying so you may see her too but she's usually out and about.
We also live with the beautiful Judy who found us a few months ago and is here to stay. She is a lovely cat who likes a morning cuddle.
It's a laid back atmosphere so just make yourself at home. It is a home vibe rather than a hotel and we've really enjoyed meeting guests over the summer and beyond.

Other things to note

For those of you who like to sleep in darkness please note there are no black-out blinds so when it's light outside it'll be pretty light inside too. It's the way we like it but I know it's not everyones preference. Just giving you a heads up.

Alice's home is a lovely place to stay in London. We wish we could have stayed a little longer! A friend and I headed to an event and stayed overnight in London to make things easier once it has finished. Inside is lovely and the decor showcases Alice and Dan's artistic and bohemian nature. Both Alice and Dan are very welcoming hosts. They were also lenient about us arriving back very late (early hours) after our event had finished. We were very quiet coming in but their lenience made it feel more homely. We also stayed up to watch sunrise from their balcony which was incredible - the views were amazing. Dan and Alice were also flexible with check-out (maybe because it was a Sunday) But this made things more relaxing for us as we didn't need to rush in the morning. The location is great - about a 10 minute walk from Canada Water. Meaning we could use 24 hour tube line to get back in the early hours (phew). I highly recommend this place to stay - totally worth it.

This place is an absolute gem! Wonderful neighbourhood that is easily accessible to the rest of the city, very clean and safe area walking distance to the Tower Bridge and a stone's throw from the nearest station. The private room is easily accessible without disruption to other guests and you have your own balcony. The views are outstanding. Alice's communication was very fast and efficient, she was friendly and helpful to deal with.

The neighborhood felt safe, the view of the Thames River and the city landscape was absolutely breath taking. The tube was conveniently located and very easy to use, giving us easy access to all the main attractions. I would highly recommend Alice and her home to our friends and family.

Alice is a very good host, very communicative and easy-going. The apartment will blow your mind! I also recommend to have a cocktail at the Brunel, just in front on the building.

The apartment is just as the pictures show! We're from the states so it was nice to have someone answer any question we had about London.
