Our cosy Queen Studio room for 2 people is attached to but separate from the main house. It has its own courtyard with lush tropical planting, a private entrance plus also use of our natural pool.
Although compact it is a well-appointed, self-contained room with kitchenette, fridge, microwave, hotplate [no oven], electric frypan & BBQ. A non-smoking room with Queen Bed, ensuite, flat-screen TV, feather duvet, pillows, hairdryer, heated towel rail, electric blanket & drying rack.
Free Wifi

The space

Our home at Wall St Accommodation is away from the main busy part of Kaiteriteri - and is bordered in part by a nature reserve with lots of native bush.
We have many different tree and plant types, some lush and tropical, others sweet smelling and fragrant. There is also a small stretch of fruit trees and a vege garden. The chemical-free swimming pool is however the heart of the garden and quite truly a joy to be around.

We aim to be energy efficient and use solar power, are keen on recycling, composting and the garden is mostly spray free.

Guest access

Your room at Wall St is off the main house with its own private entrance and a small courtyard. The main house is where Hans & I reside and is generally a private space - however you are more than welcome to wander around our gardens, pick lemons from the numerous lemon trees and leisurely swim in the chemical-free swimming pool (pool towels provided), lounge by the deck or in the very comfortable loungers on the grassed area by the pool.
I even have a small vegetable plot you can enjoy the bounty of.

Interaction with guests

We are both very happy to answer any questions you may have or provide you with insider details of places to see and trips to take in the area. We can also give you some handy maps so that you can make the most of your time here - it really is worth it.

Other things to note

The Queen Studio room is without breakfast or provisions as your stay is self-catering.

There are no available laundry facilities for your use although you can find somewhere for this in Kaiteriteri or you can drive to Motueka [15 min drive] to a Laundromat. There is however a drying rack provided.

Small room but very attractive and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were welcomed warmly and Fiona had a lot of information ready for us to make sure we got the most out of our short stay. It's only a few minutes drive to Kaiteriteri and the pick up point for the water taxi to take you to any point on the Abel Tasman coastline. We had a wonderful walk and then got the boat back to Kaiteriteri. Would loved to have stayed longer.

Fiona is the perfect host. She's helpful and informative without being intrusive and is just generally lovely - we were greeted with champagne and chocolates to celebrate our honeymoon, and she even brought us delicious fruit cake. Wall St is only about a 3 minute drive to Kaiteriteri beach, so the location was perfect. If we're ever lucky enough to return to Kaiteriteri, we'll be staying at Fiona's.

We loved this air bnb! Fiona and Hans were brilliant hosts - very friendly and welcoming but also unobtrusive. The apartment is in great location to explore Abel Tasman and the hosts are very helpful with suggestions. The apartment is comfortable and clean and icing on the cake you are free to enjoy their beautiful garden and AMAZING swimming pool.

Five stars does not do Han's and Fiona's retreat justice! Of all the Airbnb's we've done, this one was by far the best. The pool was fantastic and the accommodations were clean, private and quiet. Everything we could possibly want was at our finger tips. Great place for cooking. It was a short walk to the beach. I only wish we had more days to stay.

This studio unit is small but remarkably and efficiently designed and outfitted for any possible need. A truly amazing "tiny home," down to every last detail. And access to the calming, quiet and beautiful pool area was a plus. Fiona was very attentive and helpful as we attempted to cram all we could into 2 short days (3 nights). We highly recommend her and this fantastic and comfortable unit, only a 3 minute drive to the Kaiteriteri Abel Tasman water taxi departure point. Our advice to potential visitors is to stay here longer!

What a lovely spot - with everything you could need. The room is a cosy one-bed studio but thanks to ingenious design and the fact that they have somehow thought of literally everything, you'll be supremely comfortable and well equipped. The space was beautifully clean and well presented, and the fixtures and fittings well designed and of top quality. The pool and garden area too, was exquisite, and it was great to experience Fiona's unique and lovely natural pool. Fiona herself was a tremendous host - our paths sadly only crossed once as we had a busy few days in Kaiteriteri, but Fiona left us some delicious treats on a couple of occasions and her communication was fantastic. The main thing though was the genuine warmth and welcome we felt here. Can't recommend it highly enough :)

I am a born and bred kiwi who loves where I live and am so thankful I can share this place with others so that they too can come and enjoy the gorgeous beaches, bays and National Park we have on our doorstep.

This is a truly beautiful spot on the planet and when people experience it they all seem so joyful and happy at the end of their stay. This is what a holiday is all about and even after having lived here for 15 years I am still inspired by the sea, sand and nature that abounds here.

My partner Hans hails from the Allgäu, Bavaria, Southern Germany and builds wonderful chemical-free swimming pools – see the beautiful one he has built in our own backyard. It's hard to believe he was once a medical doctor in Germany ….then he came to NZ and together we ran Health Spas for a few years both here and in the North Island until settling on building swimming pools and hosting guests!
Ashamedly Hans is the one that speaks German & French - not me.....

We love to garden, travel, tinker & potter and enjoy the playground that is our home and surrounding area.
