These were the most challenging guests I have ever had - they were full of complaints, but would not allow me to take care of any of their perceived problems. When I was told they were not satisfied with the way the house had been cleaned, I told them I would immediately make arrangements for a different cleaning crew to come out and reclean - they refused my offer. Since they were unhappy upon their arrival and refused to let me do anything to remedy their situation, I sent them some money for a complimentary breakfast with a list of West Asheville restaurants that are known for their great breakfast choices. During their entire visit, I was constantly bombarded with emails from them. Yet, they continued to refuse to allow me to take care of any of the perceived problems they were complaining about. I am also very surprised by their reference to 'shady/questionable' people that walk the streets. I have lived in the house since 2007 and have never seen 'shady/questionable people walking the streets' in my neighborhood. I encourage prospective guests to read through the rest of my reviews to get a more accurate representation of my house and my guests' experiences here. As you will see from other guests' reviews, people love the house and thoroughly enjoy staying here. In fact, I have had guests tell me they liked my house so much they wanted to move to Asheville and live in the house; some have even made offers to buy my house.
