A great host, lovely location, very secluded. A few issues on our arrival (beds not done) but Liz and her mother went out of their way to sort it and were very understanding. The locality is awesome

Barnacle Cottage is the perfect retreat by the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. Liz was so helpful in advance of our stay, answering our questions and offering extra facilities to cater for the fact that we would be travelling with an 8-month old baby. The directions for getting to the cottage were excellent as it is tucked away in a quiet spot. The cottage was beautifully clean and were were welcomed with a bottle of wine and Welsh cakes (yum!) it had everything we could possibly need, as we were intending to cook-in every evening (due to baby!) it was a home away from home with every time of pan/pot and utensil you could ever need. It is perfect for families with children with crockery/cutlery/cups etc a-plenty for little hands. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and it was blissful falling asleep to the sounds of the sea lapping on the shore every night. There was lots of books/games/DVDs to keep us entertained and the Wi-fi was a godsend as there is no phone signal in much of the local area! I could have easily stayed a couple more days to do more walking around the coastal path and visit more of the Pembrokeshire landmarks, and will certainly come back in future years when my son is a little bigger and can appreciate it! Thanks again to Liz and family for a perfect week. Rachel, Richard and Eddie Martin

We had the most wonderful short getaway, thank you Liz. Barnacle Cottage lived up to all expectations, was immaculately presented and in a truly enviable location. It was a real treat to come back to such a lovely and peaceful place after a day's walking along beaches, cliff tops or hills. Very convenient for Newport and St David's too. We found our stay very easy to organise and the welcome pack was much appreciated. To also be able to enjoy a more or less private cove and waterfall was an immeasurable bonus!

Lovely cottage with all amenities. Very clean. Although the booking had been made very last minute, and there had been a mix-up with our welcome pack and towels - everything was sorted immediately -and very thoughtfully. The location was completely idyllic - on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and 100m from a secluded beach in a beautiful bay. We loved it and the kids loved it (22, 16 & 13) - they were able to explore the rocks, rock pools and walk the coastal path whilst we lay on the beach in the glorious sunshine and swam in the clear water. We will return!
