The Artist's Cottage is a fully self contained cottage in Wellington's beautiful seaside suburb of Seatoun.

Situated behind our family home - you have wonderful privacy and quietness including your own garden and deck. The beach is a 2 minute stroll down a tree lined street and the Seatoun village shops are 200m from your front door.

Seatoun has many walks and beautiful harbour vistas. Good cafes and a great base for your Wellington stay.

The space

One queen bedroom, bathroom, large separate living/dining and fully equipped kitchen - its a wonderful home away from home to base yourself for your Wellington stay.

Situated behind our family home - you have wonderful privacy including your own garden and deck.

Situated just 5 minutes drive from Wellington airport, Seatoun is an exclusive seaside suburb of Wellington - just 15 minutes drive from the city centre.

Our house is affordable for couples or families and just a few doors from the village shops and cafes and only 2 minutes stroll from the beach.
The opening of the Seatoun Tunnel 105 years ago helped to turn the seaside resort into one of Wellington's most highly prized suburbs.

Developed in the late 1800s by James Coutts Crawford, who named it after a place his family owned in Britain, Seatoun previously was accessible only by boat.

Today it's only a 15-minute drive from downtown - the early morning or late afternoon ferry trips are even shorter - and five minutes from Wellington Airport yet feels like a weekend getaway.

Given Seatoun's location, beaches and bays, tree-lined streets, panoramic views, village shopping and minimal traffic, it's no wonder the eastern suburb is a favourite with visitors to Wellington

The Artists Cottage is 100m from the picturesque Seatoun village with great cafes, Harrys fashion boutique, "Huckle" fish and chip shop (try the Seared Zany Zeus Haloumi Salad) and a mini supermarket. Seatoun is also fast becoming an art centre of Wellington.

Take a 2 minute stroll down to the beach and catch the ferry into town on the morning sailing. Or there is a regular bus service which goes from the village (200m from our place) straight into the centre of Wellington.

Great spot easily accessible by bus from central Wellington. The home is spacious & comfortable with lots of natural lighting & a private outdoor patio area. The wifi can be a little spotty, but nothing too terrible. Great place to relax or wander along the coastal walkways & parks.

Great place to stay, very quiet, spacious and beautiful. Highly recommended. Jolanda was really friendly, she provided a nice afternoon treat for us. The cottage is located in a village with a beautiful coastal walk and you can watch the interferry and the landscape is great. We enjoyed our visit and we would love to stay here again.

We had a great time at this location. It was very relaxing and we got to try out some of the local shops in Seatoun. The location was very close to the beach and we were glad that we got to drive around the area. Thank you and we hope to come back one day. Will & Christine
