The space
The guest house of the private residence of a part-time writer/filmmaker, this gorgeous, newly-completed country home blends traditional architecture & a tropical setting with contemporary touches, modern amenities & real luxury. This spacious (130 sq meter) 2-bedroom fully-staffed dwelling overlooks a large natural wood deck (100 sq meters, semi-covered for the rainy days), a gorgeous 22-meter infinity lap pool that appears to 'float' over the surrounding landscape, and terraced rice fields sloping down into a lush palm forest. It doesn't get more Bali or Ubud than this. (Please note that the pool is shared with our adjacent house, which is often vacant, but on days when it is occupied, the pool will be 'semi-private' with possibly a few friendly neighbors floating around.)
The master bedroom has a view over the rice paddies, a king-sized bed with luxury mattresses, air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with rainforest shower.
The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower, a small sofa & a flat screen TV.
The center of the house is a spacious living/dining/kitchen area, perfect for socializing, from the oversized L-shaped sofa to the small breakfast bar and cozy reading corner with plush ottoman seat. Huge (65-inch) smart TV with all the usual apps (Netflix, Amazon, AppleTV, etc) built in.
Full AC throughout.
While the two bedrooms easily host 4 people, a 5th guest can comfortably sleep on the large living room sofa, for which we have additional sheets, blankets and pillows.
The newly-renovated kitchen is fully equipped: stove top burner, full baking oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, water kettle, french press, mineral water dispenser, cooking dishes, crockery, cutlery, tumblers, etc.
The house has fast (100 Mbps) fibre-optic wifi, which can be used indoor and out.
The residence has a full time staff: a friendly property manager who handles guest relations; 2 housekeepers who clean 5 days a week; a gardener; and security guards at night.

When you don't feel like going out for meals or cooking for yourself, there are many convenient options:
Right across the street from us is a beautiful, modern cafe serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (both Indonesian and Western dishes) from 7AM until 10PM. We've even arranged free delivery for our guests straight to your villa or even the pool deck :)
Meals can also be ordered from any of Ubud's many other restaurants and cafes via food delivery apps Go-Food and Grab-Food, and delivered straight to the villa.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the fully-furnished 2-bedroom guest house including the well-equipped kitchen, the gorgeous outside deck and the beautiful 22-meter lap pool which is great to swim in day and night (yes, it has underwater lights!)
Please note that the pool is shared with our adjacent main house, which is sometimes vacant, but on days when it is occupied, the pool will be 'semi-private' with possibly a few friendly neighbors floating around. Other things to note
Our staff can help arrange private massage therapists, food delivery and other services straight to the house. It's all easy and affordable. Just ask.
'Luxury' disclaimer:
Our residence is elegant, beautiful and fully equipped with all mod-cons, conveniences, a stunning pool, a gorgeous view and many corners for relaxation. However, we aren't luxury resort where everything is perfectly controlled at all times, but a residence set in a local village where you may experience occasional inconveniences or disruptions: A few times a month we might have an electricity blackout for a few hours; at night you may hear the sound of geckos coo-ing from the roof above; we might get a blocked drain or toilet, a broken light or a weak air-conditioner. Our staff will be on hand to help solve any such issues as quickly as possible. But we just wanted to point out that for $150 a night you won't be getting the perfection offered by a $800 Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton villa :)
