I stayed in Bob's Skaneateles apartment for two nights with my wife and our daughter. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is on the second floor of a 3-floor building in the village center, above first-floor businesses on Genessee Street, and a short walk to everything to see and do in the village. The sunroom area and large deck look right out onto the lake; very scenic.
The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances were easy to figure out. Well, I had to look on the internet to figure out exactly how the heat mode on the heat pump in the sunroom works. :)
We were here carless, as part of a cycling trip, and locked our bikes behind the building, locked against a railing and out of the way of auto parking spaces. This worked out well.
There is elevator access to the space via the back side of the building. The elevator is slow, though; we used it for one trip up, with bags, but simply took the stairs thereafter.
The only thing I'd caution is that the bedrooms overlook Genessee Street, which, while narrow and village-scale here, is also part of US route 20, the major east-west car and truck route in this part of the Finger Lakes. Traffic & truck noise on Monday morning (Columbus Day, so only a partially-observed holiday) was moderately loud, even early. There are other places to sleep in the in the apartment, though, including a sofa bed in the sunroom; be aware of this if you are a light sleeper.
