A fabulous experience to stay in such a location the house was great, but to have the gardens to yourself is an absolute delight. Rufus, the host was helpful and readily available without being intrusive. Definitely recommend a stay at the Abbey Gardens.

Location, location and very funky. This is an amazing find right in the heart of Malmesbury and yet backing onto country side next to the Abbey. The formal and informal gardens are amazing. The bits of the Grand house are so historic with Jacobean furniture I think. The flat accommodation is simple but the gardens compensate for that. We all loved the place. Rufus and his brother were very accommodating and friendly.

A quirky place to stay in a stunning location. Charming host but extremely dated facilities .

Our stay at Abbey House was really enjoyable. After the gardens closed we were welcomed by Rufus, who gave us the tour of the undercroft, a very interesting part of the Abbey, and the library with linenfold panelling. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with amazing views over the gardens to the front and rear of the Abbey. A stay to remember.

Rufus' house is utterly amazing and the garden so beautiful, it took our breath away! Rufus gave us the tour of the house when we arrived, even though we were quite late - thank you! The suite of rooms was huge, yet full of character and cosy and the beds were really comfortable, especially the four poster! Super provisions were provided for our breakfast. Altogether a wonderful and special experience.
