Secluded jungle setting with plenty of monkeys, lizards, birds and raccoons..Nice little pool to cool off in..beautiful grounds/landscaping around bungalow.private location.neighbors are close but you cant really see them due to all the vegetation.Bungalow is pretty basic/rustic with a small refrigerator, microwave, wifi and ceiling fan..nice porch, with another fan,to hang out on..or relax in the nice hammock.Very nice neighbor(pam)across the street can direct you to some cool places or answer any questions.Playa Samara is a long walk or nice bike ride away. You can drive in about 7 minutes.Sub zero is great.pablitos has cheap beer and free bean and rice soup. They didn't charge us for soup anyway.Playa buena vista was our favorite.5 or so minute walk from house.basically your own private beach.Go during low tide only and watch tide times.

We loved staying at Casa Yolo. The house had all the amenities we needed. We loved having the porch, pool, and hammock. The outside area is well shaded so we enjoyed spending our time out there. We also had a view of the monkey, birds, and chipmunks. We opted for an ATV which made the distance from town more manageable. We liked being a bit removed from town because it was very peaceful, quiet, and felt very safe. We did experience some of the ears from the Guanacaste tree falling on the roof at night. It was a bit frightening at first because it makes a loud knocking noice. However, once we figured out where the noise was coming from, we were at ease. The house was very clean. The yard well maintained. Momo arranged for a house cleaner to tidy up halfway through our 1 week stay. We loved it and would stay again.

This is a simple but nice little spot near Playa Buena Vista. As others have said, it is a way off from the Samara town center and a bit off the beaten path so plan accordingly. The plunge pool is a perfect way to cool off, the porch is lovely, and they keep the place very clean. We saw howler monkeys early in the morning at Playa Buena Vista, which is a lovely little spot for views and checking out nature that's a quick walk from this place. I'd say it's definitely not as good for swimming as Playa Samara though. Momo was very accommodating of my schedule which changed last minute and was very lovely when we met her briefly. We did wish the place had AC but the fans do a pretty good job. The only issue, which is understandable given the location, was a bit of trouble with ants. We ended up having to leave all food in the fridge, which was fine once we knew. The area is a bit expensive in general so her prices seemed reasonable for the area. All in all, just wish we could have stayed longer!

This is such a great find- tucked away in a quiet corner with a beautiful garden /pool and all you need to chill out for a few days while exploring the area... ideally with your own transport. we loved the hidden beach - a 30 minute walk away to an idyllic secluded spot that we had to ourselves

Place is down the road a bit from the main area of Samara, which for me was lovely. You will need at least a bike to get around, which Momo rents from the place. Road is a bit dusty during dry season, but that was my experience everywhere in the country on the Pacific coast during February. My advice is to go straight to beach, when heading towards Samara, from road as soon as it turns to asphalt, much more secluded and nicer than main Samara beach in my opinion. WiFi worked great, plus a little plunge pool. Great place to chill and relax.

We had such a lovely stay in Momos bungalow. Private and off the beaten path we enjoyed hearing the sound aid the jungle and were visited by coatis, howler monkeys, iguanas and birds. A little away from town it offer seclusion and tranquility, but still being close enough to go to a less busy beach, and walk to town very easily. Momo was friendly and extremely helpful. We loved it.
