The photos on the site looked great - the reality was better still. Beautifully designed and finished it really is a special room. The bathroom was something else! As the room is at the rear of the property it's quiet, calm and serene, perfect for the short break we took. Jule is the perfect host, helpful and attentive. She really makes sure everything is just perfect for you. A most enjoyable stay. Breakfast was superb both for the full English and the fruits and cereals. Truly a luxurious escape. Highly recommended.

We were very lucky to have the chance to stay here over the bank holiday weekend. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas! We started off at the beach In Camber Sands on Sunday and made our way to Bewl Water on the Monday, stopping en route for the night at the gorgeous Old Courthouse B&B. Julie was there when we arrived to take us to the room and tells us all about the area and where we could eat. We went for the Claypot a few doors down, as we had had a long day and didn't want to venture too far. It was pretty quiet in there but the food was really lovely - I'd definitely recommend for any curry lovers! Julie was also full of helpful information about where to stop for food on the way around a Bewl Water and we had a gorgeous meal at The Bull Inn, just off track but well worth the small detour! The bed at the B&B was SO COMFY and we woke up to the most wonderful breakfast overlooking the garden at the back of the courthouse, it was such a perfect end to a lovely stay! Thank you Julie for making us feel so at home :)

Beautiful accommodation..... ticked all our boxes perfectly! It was so lovely to have such delicious breakfasts served in our room where we could eat overlooking the garden. Julie had made a fabulous flower arrangement which made everything feel even more special. Plenty of local walks available and also places to visit in the area. Julie was so accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The bed was amazing.... I slept like a log every night!!!

I am so glad you thoroughly enjoyed your stay. You were both such easy company and a pleasure. Your review makes everything worthwhile. Hope your plants from Sissinghurst Castle survived the journey home! All the best to you both, Julie The Old Courthouse

Julie's house was lovely, we stayed in the cells of the old courthouse and were greeted with cups of tea and a friendly face. The room was lovely and the bathroom amazing even with candles. Julie made a lovely breakfast of salmon and scrambled eggs on toast too! Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

We stayed for 2 nights before a wedding. Lovely warm welcome from Julie, who is a brilliant host. Very nice clean large room with a huge bathroom, and lovely big bath with Moroccan tiles. Breakfasts were really yummy- highly recommended the smoked salmon and scrambled egg!
