1 block from the lagoon edge, this suite has its own entrance, small private outdoor area and is safe to store bicycles.
The 4km perimeter of Leisure Isle is a delight to walk, with ever-changing vistas, vivid sunsets and a unique community vibe.

The space

Leisure Isle itself is a unique destination, popular in high season but equally enjoyable in the quiet months. The bedroom is spacious, private and comfortable, with a luxurious bathroom attached. Small fridge plus beverage-making facilities. Private sunny outside area.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the wifi, and will be able to view cable TV on their flatscreen. 2 bicycles available for riding around this lovely island are available. Private entrance with security-coded gate so that guests can come and go as they please.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to advise guests on things to do around Knysna, and will be there to welcome them on their arrival. I like guests to come and go as they please, but I'm there if they need extra help.

Other things to note

Please note that if someone is in the room above you, that there might be some creaking noises from when they walk on the floorboards. This room above, however, is seldom used, and there have been no complaints so far.

Jenny is a warm and considerate host who makes one feel as if you are relatives rather than bnb guests. Accommodation was clean and in a good location. Jenny also gave execellent recommendations in the neighbourhood as well as surrounding areas. Will definitely stay here again!

Jenny warmly welcomed us in her wonderful house on calm and beautiful Leisure Island. We stayed with her for 3 nights and had a really good time. The room with bathroom is spacious and beautifully furnished. The area itself is quite but,as it is an island, water is not far from everywhere here. It is a short drive into Knysna town.

Jenny gave us a very warm and sympathic welcome. She is an open minded person. Her En Suite Room even opped our expectations. Jenny's good taste is shown in every detail. We spent two wonderful days in Knysna. Jenny gave us very helpful advises to find the perfect views, food and drink locations. If you like art and music, go to Jenny

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Knysna and especially Leisure Isle is very lovely and beautiful with lots of nice things to do. We loved the little coffee shop nearby, the impressive view at the heads and the seafood at the waterfront. The accomodation is astonishing and well decorated - we loved the paintings and the garden. The room has had everything we needed: lots of space for everything, a fridge and a comfortable bed. Last but most important: we left reluctantly because of Jennys hospitality. We have been there around christmas and she gave us the feeling of coming home and being welcome. She helped us where she could, totally cared about us and our wellbeing and told us a lot of interesting things about africa and its culture. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable.

We spent two nights on Leisure Isle and we were very happy with our accommodation during this time. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, clean and well-equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The en suite room is nicely located with only a short distance to the water's edge and spectacular scenery. Jenny is a very friendly and helpful host, and she epitomizes the very best of South African hospitality. She knows the Knysna area well and offered us useful advice pertaining to restaurants and activities during our visit.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Jenny was lovely and welcoming with such an amazing house. Ample safe parking and the room as its own private entrance to come and go as you wish. The room is very spacious, neat and tidy with beautiful furnishings, books shelfs with books to read and lots of cupboard space to hang your clothes and all sorts. The room en-suite bathroom/shower is just perfect . Tea, coffee, rusks, cereal, fruits, yogurts, cross buns and even a bottle of wine were laid out !!! there is also a stoop area with table and chairs just outside the room where one can also enjoy the fresh air and garden. I really felt welcomed and at home and slept like a log. The room as a fridge and full DSTV available in the room, which was great. Great gem. Thank you Jenny and I look forward for the next visit

My first 30 years were spent mainly in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) or travelling, and the next 30 in Johannesburg, South Africa. We always holidayed on the unique Leisure Isle, Knysna and so it was not difficult to decide where to live next. My free lance work was mostly researc…
