Rural setting just off the Southern edge of Dartmoor and well located for the South Devon Coast.
The Honeypot is very well equipped with free wifi. All you need to look after yourself in comfort plus a lovely village pub down the lane.
Private (detached) - peaceful - clean and simple - ample parking & room to wander.
Peaceful setting in 6 acres of land. Your own private bit of space to relax and just a short stroll down the lane to an old Inn (1028AD) - one of the oldest in the Country. Fully equipped for home comforts - wifi now included.
We have replaced the fridge freezer in the chalet with a larger quieter fridge - if you need to store frozen items in a freezer please just ask.
Feel free to wander the grounds, use the BBQ etc. We are wildlife friendly and not a commercial farm so no monoculture - you are in the Countryside.
Please do not enter the barn as hazardous equipment etc is stored within.
Interaction with guests
Please just ask if you need anything or need help during your stay. If coming by train or plane we may be able to assist you from Exeter Airport, or Exeter, Newton Abbot, Totnes (nearest) or Plymouth train stations. The X80 bus between Plymouth and Paignton stops 1/2 mile away on the A385 at Rattery Mill
Other things to note
We no longer have bees on site. This is a working small holding and our barn is a potentially hazardous area with farm equipment and chemicals. For your own safety please do not enter the barn unless accompanied by us. Thank you.
We appreciate folks not smoking in the unit and keeping noise / behaviour to acceptable levels. All commonsense things. We will consider pets by arrangement and we have two terriers on site.
I have formerly served front line in both the Police Force and Emergency Ambulance Service. These days I am a landlord and run a small farm in Devon.
We are a family of 4 with 2 small dogs and often have pigs and chickens on the farm which is mainly woodland, orchard, soft fruit and veg. I am also a beekeeper - and the name Honeypot is apt as the chalet doubles up as the Honey Extraction House towards the end of summer.
The farm and this area of the World really give you a 'feel good' factor and we like having our regular guests back again and again and seeing them enjoy themselves.
