Guests have their own private garden laid mainly to lawn with mature trees, climbers and lavender bushes. They are welcome to stroll around the owners' extensive gardens and pick fruit in season from the fruit bushes and trees.
Interaction with guests
The cottage is in the grounds of the owners' house and the owners are usually available to offer advice if needed, on places of interest nearby, restaurants, and things to do in the area.
Other things to note
There are many activities in the area, including swimming, canoe/kayaking on the river, boat trips and footpaths for interesting walks. The quiet roads and hills are ideal for cycling. There are many places of cultural interest nearby including Albi, Montauban and Cahors.
This is a non smoking property and pets are not allowed. We expect guests to treat the house and its surroundings with respect and to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition.
I'm 69 years old but fit and active. I love walking, swimming, gardening and socialising with friends and family. We have a very productive vegetable garden and lots of fruit trees so spend a lot of time freezing the produce and making jams and chutneys.
After a very busy summer we like to chill out on a quiet Greek island. In the winter months we like to visit a foreign city to soak up the culture. That's also when I get the time to read and watch films. My favourite film is 'Love Actually' and the last book I read was 'Bring up the Bodies' by Hilary Mantel. We sometimes go to Toulouse to see a ballet or listen to the Toulouse National Orchestra. We recently saw a fantastic live show of 'Dirty Dancing' there. I travel to the UK a lot to see family and friends.
As a host I like to be available if you want me, but otherwise will keep out of your way!
