1750c charm, B and B with 5 individual en suite rooms, serving delicious breakfasts in a Victorian conservatory under an ancient vine. Located in a peaceful rural location close to beaches and Exmoor. Bright and airy fabulous views enjoyed from room.
Room 4 is the smallest double room at the Spinney but so pretty decorated in pale lemon,the five foot bed sits snugly between two simple white bedside chests. A neat window seat provides a small area to sit and the window looks out over the garden and stunning devon hills, a single wardrobe with a mirrored door provide ample storage and the en suite shower room has a large window providing lots of light. The room enjoys all the same comforts as the other four rooms at the Spinney and whilst small room 4 is a firm favourite with our guests especially those who enjoy watching the birds from the comfort of their bed.
Our guests have access to the snug where many books can be found and borrowed or swapped the room has a log burner for cooler days and a conservatory great bright space for dining and our garden with chairs tables and loungers
Interaction with guests
We enjoy spending time chatting with our guests, we invite our guests to arrive between 4-5 pm and welcome our guests with complimentary tea and cake, it's a lovely way to get to know them. We are happy to suggest places to visit and swap travel stories. It is a very warm informal and hospitable house. We retire to our own rooms in the evening however we are always available to our guests.
Other things to note
Our rooms provide our guests with complimentary hot drink making facilities with a wide variety of refreshments, and biscuits, fresh milk is also available. We have a fridge available for our guests use. Each room has complimentary spring water and chocolates. We provide a hairdryer and toiletries including cotton wool and ear buds. Each room has free wifi access Flat screen TV and DVD
• Check-in time is 4PM.
We want our guests to feel at home and would ask our guests to be respectful of us and our home, to treat our home as they would like others to treat theirs. To be mindful of our other guests who may have retired for the evening if returning to the house after 10pm and remove shoes /walking boots if muddy.
In line with British law smoking is not permitted any where in the house however an ashtray is provided out side the front door where chairs and a table are placed.
