The "Ogawa-tei” was originally built about one hundred years ago. Beautifully refurnished & opened as a guest house in this Spring. Only one block away from Myoshinji, the largest Zen temple in Japan. 2 bicycles are available.
“Ogawa-tei” is originally built about one hundred years ago, but beautifully refurnished and modernized, yet still has rich flavor of ancient days of old Kyoto. Like in some of Hayao Miyazaki’s animations, you might enjoy semi-time traveling experience! The house has 85 square meters, three bed rooms. (Two are Tatami & Futon rooms) Large enough for group or family of 8 people.
・JR Hanazono station
・City Bus (1day free pass is recommended)
・Two bicycles are available

I was born and grew up in Japan until age 16, then moved to the U.S. and lived 12 years. I loved the experiences of interacting with people from different nations and cultures. The three guest houses I manage are all clean and convenient. Let me know however I can make your time in Kyoto comfortable and memorable. Welcome to Kyoto, Japan!
