The space

This house was perfect for our holiday needs in Kyoto, easy to get to, near to a station but not close enough to hear the trains. Great value for money and Tomoyoshi was great in communicating all the details we needed. The only thing that could have been better was the cleanliness of the bathroom area.

By the bridge at the train station is a supermarket which has everything you need. Rooms were a good size and close location to the train station and bus stops.

We had a great time at Tomoyoshi's house. There was plenty of space for four of us. The kitchen was well equipped if you need to cook. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood, close to a subway station and within walking distance of Sensoji, the temple at Asakusa, where we spent New Year's Eve - this is a great area of Tokyo. Full of life - interesting places to eat and lots of fascinating shops. The house was cold, but it was December and the heaters soon warmed it up. This was not a problem specific to Tomoyoshi's house - for westerners Japanese houses are cold. Tomoyoshi provides instructions on how to get around, where to find supermarkets and how to use the washing machine. This was very useful. I would recommend this house - it was spacious for our family of four, very conveniently situated and provided us with a comfortable home in Tokyo.

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay for our family of 5. Cute older traditional style house, very close to trains and buses in a quiet neighborhood a few stops from central Kyoto.

Tomo was very easy to deal with and is very quick to reply messages. His place is conveniently located near the station and we had no problem whatsoever. Highly recommend him as a host and his place as well. Would happily stay here again next time.

I was born and grew up in Japan until age 16, then moved to the U.S. and lived 12 years. I loved the experiences of interacting with people from different nations and cultures. The three guest houses I manage are all clean and convenient. Let me know however I can make your time in Kyoto comfortable and memorable. Welcome to Kyoto, Japan!
