Kilnamartyra is a small Gaeltacht village that has two bustling pubs with one offering tasty pizzas to enjoy with a pint!! The village is only 3 km from The Parlour and is well worth a walk to soak in the local beauty. Ballyvourney is also another Gaeltacht village that has 3 restaurants while all serve great wholesome food which is just a 15 minute drive. Macroom is the local town that has a host of various restaurants and supermarkets, which is 12 minutes from the Parlour. Macroom is a market town so is a regular hive of activity.

The Buffalo Farm is walking distance from the Parlour, they offer group tours that demonstrates how the nationally renowned Mozzarella Cheese is made . A unique river walk called The Gearagh is only a 10 min drive Gougane Barra is a 25 min drive, where the river Lee begins, which is of spectacular beauty . Killarney is a mere 40 min drive which is where The Ring Of Kerry begins making the Parlour a perfect location for your stay between Cork and Kerry . Cork Airport, West Cork, Inchydoney Beach, Loch Hyne ,Rosscarbery, all within 50 mins .

Prince August Is the only Toy Soldier Factory in the country which is in Kilnamartyra Village and hosts an exhibition of The Battle of Waterloo it is fun for all ages , just a 5 min drive away from The Parlour .
