Our sunny New Mexico home has a ground floor, super comfortable room with a queen bed. We love hosting guests in our solar home and serving them a NM burrito before they start their day. We are a close drive to many beautiful NM destinations.
Our home is in a quiet neighborhood with WiFi and a close drive to many attractions: Old Town, Albuquerque, Balloon Fiesta Park, Santa Fe, many state parks, Sandia Tram/Sandia Crest, Railrunner Train Stations, and much more! We live within a 5 minute drive from Walmart (where there is a bus stop), a movie theater and various restaurants.
The bedroom has a queen bed, two nightstands with lamps and shelves, a closet, table and chair, luggage rack and book shelves. The bedroom is next to the bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) and adjoins the family room and kitchen. There are 2 USB outlets in the bedroom.
We have a beautiful backyard and plenty of room to relax on the first floor, with the second floor for the host family's use only. Our home is part of a zoned "solar village" in Rio Rancho and has large contribution passive solar architecture with 2x6 construction.
The breakfast will consist of a NM style breakfast burrito and coffee, tea or juice. Please let us know of any allergies/preferences. We are able to accommodate gluten free guests. The burritos and drinks can be made 'to go', if needed.
We have plenty of equipment to accommodate children: pack n' play, high chair, Bumbo seat, walker, stroller, safety gate, lots of toys and even a swing set and playhouse in the backyard! We are empty-nesters, but have lots of this equipment for when our grandchildren visit.
You may enter the house through the front door.
Interaction with guests
We'd love to offer any help you might need in finding things to do/places to go. We have lived in the area for 25 years and are quite familiar with nearby attractions/destinations/places to dine.
Upper level of our 2 story home for host family only. No smoking inside the home, please. No pets, please.
