When you stay at Thatchwood, the outside of this Grade 2 listed home built in 1700's typifies the beautiful examples of English country cottages; step inside to a bohemian and eclectic retreat: cosy, quirky, comfortable and your home away from home.

The space
Thatchwood is a typical English cottage built in the early 1700's. It is a Grade 2 listed building with many of the original features visible: exposed beams, lower ceilings, quirky winding staircases and an exposed patch of interior wattle and daub...literally dating from the when the house was built. The interior reflects the bohemian and creative aspects of the owners: In the Ottomanesque dining room, you will comfortably seat 6 to 8 people and amid the lamps and furnishings. The excellently equipped kitchen is typically English country home, though it is graced with everything a true cook could wish: a wide array of excellent quality kitchen essentials. Many of the appliances are Kitchen Aid. One of the owners is a keen cook...you can tell! There is also a further den, with a widescreen TV. However, you may prefer to relax in the meadow-like garden, and seating at both patio and garden level. The garden itself is approximately a third of an acre and through a charming wooden archway, runs into the neighbouring farmer's fields. The copse of trees within the woodland fairytale garden is actually a conservation area.
