Other things to note

For driving in Iceland:
- Seatbelt for everyone always,
- The front lights always turned on whilst driving,
- Never stop in middle of road or on the side of the road to take pictures (anyway it will be a bad photo and your life and others depend on your actions), stop the car where it is actually allowed.
- If you see horses, find a safe place to stop and Don't feed the horses,
- If you see Northern lights whilst driving, keep eyes on the road and find a safe place to admire them.

All the water is drinkable and clean in Iceland, as in the homes, gasoline stations, bathrooms ecc.
The hot water can be really hot in Iceland, so be careful before you jump into the shower, bath, brushing teeth or washing up dishes. Make sure it is at the right temperature before you do your actions.

BUS STATION is called HLEMMUR located at the end of Hverfisgata. Go out of the house and walk to the left till the end of the road.
TAXI are found in Lækjargata.

This apartment was top notch in terms of cleaniness, comfort, size, location and price. It was central to literally everything, including a bus stop for tour pick ups, but still very peaceful at night. Washing machine and kitchen were very helpful for our stay, too. Additionallt, Oddlaug was very communicative and helpful and offered some great suggestions that enhanced our experience. We had an extraordinary trip and I am so glad we chose this rental over a hotel!

Oddlaug's apartment is delightful! There are so many fun photos and decorations, and the view from the bedroom window is just killer. Oddlaug was quick to respond to messages and was very patient and helpful after a misunderstanding on our part. Great location, easily walkable to lots of fun stuff downtown, as well as pickup locations for tours. We'd stay again for sure.

Oddlaug's place is quite comfortable and centrally located. Everything was within walking distance with regards to restaurants, groceries, bakeries and etc. Also, if you drive, parking was fairly accessible which made things easy. We highly recommend staying here.

We were pleasantly surprised at the great location! My friends are from Iceland and we were coming to visit while they were home to visit family. I had her look at where to stay in Iceland, and she quickly pointed out Oddlaug's apartment. It was very convenient that a bus stop for many tours was across the street. We did the Golden Circle tour, and then the Blue lagoon another day before the airport, and both stopped right there. Just a block up, we were able to get breakfast every morning. We would then go out to dinner that our friends picked out and they just parked nearby and we walked. Never had to take transportation other than the bus tours that were across the street. The only thing I'd recommend is that if anyone is sleeping on the couch, bring an eye mask. There are no curtains and with the sun out when sleeping, it was hard to sleep. There is also an apartment across we could see into, so having a little more privacy when sleeping would be nice. There was also a party one night in one of the other apartments, where it was pretty loud (esp for the person on the couch) with smoke coming in because we left the windows open in the kitchen at night to cool the place down. Didn't notice until the next morning walking into the kitchen and it smelling. Luckily, it aired out by the time we got back that evening. Overall, great deal, great contact (esp for my first time with airbnb), great location, super easy.

This was a lovely apartment in a fantastic location, most things in Reykjavik were within short walking distance. Oddlaug was a great and accessible host with answers to all of our questions. We had a very good time staying here and enjoyed the great accessibility to every location we wanted to go to within the city.

I am from Reykjavik and I love travelling.
Lived in Italy for ten years and now for the moment I live half the time in Reykjavík and half in Paris.
I work as a guide in Iceland when I am at home, so do not hesitate to ask questions of what to do and where to go.
I try to travel as much as I can, as I like to see beautiful places and discover different cultures. I love art and design, and i spend a lot of my time making things.
