Ballimore House is ideal to leave the stresses of Covid and 2020 behind; get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax and enjoy one another’s company in the beautiful Scottish countryside just two hours drive North of Glasgow!

The space
The Estate house offers a large open plan kitchen/ dining room with double sided multi fuel stove, a cosy lounge with open fire place as well as a second larger living room on the first floor with wood burning stove and a large terrace overlooking the estate. The five luxurious bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathroom and the exclusive 20meter indoor swimming pool is heated throughout the summer months.
The house sits within a large garden, which also accommodates the ruin of the old Baron's House, the Cottage, Lodge and Barn of our farm. Our Highland cows and sheep roam the fields surrounding the garden and our fishing Loch Tromlee is a mile down the track.

Where you’ll be

Kilchrenan, United Kingdom

Ballimore Farm is a fantastic place! Away from traffic giving you the feeling of being remote, even ‘cut off from civilisation - but it really isn’t!
The nearest pub is only three miles down the road in Kilchrenan. Taynuilt with its grocery shop, butcher, post office, hairdresser, train station and cafe is only 7miles away.
Lots more shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and of course the ferries the the isles are 30minutes drive away in Oban.

We moved to the Scottish West Coast 10 years ago and have thoroughly embraced our new life in The Scottish Countryside. We enjoy living on our farm in the hills behind Oban, raising our children and looking after our sheep and highland cows. Not always having mobile phone reception or access to internet is not unusual around this part of the country but we feel lucky for having found our ‘home’ and we thrive to show our guests the astonishing beauty of the rugged and sometimes wild of Argyll.
