We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Karin's place, she has thought of everything. The location is excellent and a perfect base for the Adelaide Festival, Fringe events and Writers Week. Great cafes and restaurants nearby - a meal at Ruby Red Flamingo (a short walk away) is a must! Karin's house is very comfortable, well maintained and impeccably clean. Highly recommended. Thanks again Karin!

Wow! What a beautiful cottage, with so much charm! We loved the high ceilings, polished floorboards, the artwork and décor, and courtyard and garden. The newly renovated kitchen and bathroom are fantastic. Everything was so wonderful. The house is in a great location. It is about a 25 min walk to/from the city, through beautiful historic North Adelaide and parklands. If you don't want to walk, there is a bus stop for the free city connector bus nearby - very convenient. The house is close to O'Connell St where there are lots of great restaurants, cafes and shops (including supermarket). It is also very close to Adelaide Oval. Karin was a wonderful host - very prompt and helpful in answering any queries, very friendly, and very generous and thoughtful with all the little details (toiletries, etc) left in the house for us. We loved our stay at Karin's house. We will definitely be recommending it to any of our friends who are thinking about visiting Adelaide.

With both my wife and I having to regularly travel with work commitments internationally we are very used to staying in hotels and the like. Our recent jaunt to Adelaide was initially supposed to be for three months but ended up being seven. Initially we were staying in serviced apartments but after five months of staying in a cold, dark (absolutely no natural light), aged and impersonal one bedroom suite with three of everything (plates, knives, forks etc) which was also expensive we were referred to Karin via new made friends we met via their dogs at the local Cibo. Karin and her husband Ross are a very generous, friendly and genuine couple and Karin's home reflected that. Location wise , O'Connell Street is very close by, literally a few minutes walk away where you will find a wide array of restaurants, bars, cool cinema, petrol station, post office, coffee shops, small park and shopping centre including pharmacy, groceries etc with the zoo, Conference Centre, Hospitals, museums and main shopping centre a pleasant walk away, the CBD shopping area being about 30 minutes walk at most. Another great eatery / bar area is Melbourne Street and this likewise is around 20 minutes walk away. There is a stop for the Free Adelaide Connector bus a short walk away and bus stop also very walkable distance. For all that the home is in a quiet area and other the coming and going of planes which is the flavour for all of North Adelaide we never heard any noise or saw any negative behaviours. A great location. The home is truly a home away from home. Full of natural light the home feels like a home. Everything we needed was in the home with a fully well equipped kitchen, lovely heater for cold nights, fans and central air conditioning for the hot, with front and back doors permitting natural air flow and overall a very homely atmosphere. There is a lovely outdoor area with BBQ and a secure garage. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has been recently modernised. There is free local internet in the O'Connell Street area as well as at the local cafes. Karin is to soon install wifi access in the home as well. Karin was a fantastic host and truly wanted to ensure our stay was homely. I'd recommend this home to business people, couples and families alike. We felt the price was very reasonable and in terms of a comfortable home with everything we needed and the suburb location it would be hard to beat.

I am an educator who works part time and I spend a great deal of time at my partner's house who lives a street away. I love our city and what it has to offer, particularly its food and wine and its cultural events, which I look forward to sharing with my guests.
I love North Adelaide for its proximity to the parklands and the city, as well as the bustling O'Connel St cafe and restaurant precinct.
I walk along the streets and in the parklands of North Adelaide every day when I'm here and often along the River Torrens. This is the way to see our city at its best.
I love to cook and shop at the Adelaide Central Market and suburban organic markets so my kitchen is well-equipped.
I've travelled extensively around the world, and I'm a fussy guest, so I've tried to bring that experience to bear to provide for the needs of my visitors. I look forward to welcoming you to my home!
