This cute cottage offers the perfect relaxing getaway in Tin Can Bay. With bedding for up to 5 people (or 6 if theres a very loving couple sharing the leather daybed), it is an ideal family holiday house, especially as it's pet freindly!
The cottage is centrally located, just minutes walk to the local Pub and bottleshop, IGA, cafes and restaurants for all your daily needs.
There is also a Marina and Yacht Club, Council library, RSL, Barnacles Cafe (where daily Dolphin feeding occurs) all within walking distance as well as a golf course-come-bowls club and country club just a few minutes drive away.
Behind the property is a gorgeous 'Wildflower Walk' which takes you along Snapper Creek. The wildlife is amazing with abundant birdlife and dolphin feeding at Norman Point between 7.30 and 8am most mornings. Although I am no angler, I have been told the fishing is excellent and there are boat ramps at Norman Point (a few minutes from the cottage).
One of the most impressive aspects of Tin Can Bay for us city folk are the night skies. It is incredibly peaceful to spend an evening on the sun lounge just gazing up at the Milky Way.
Guests will have the entire house to themselves, it is cosy enough for a couple to enjoy or bedding and yard ready for larger groups.
Interaction with guests
We have a key lock box on premises so you will have direct access to the property. Whenever possible we will offer flexible check in and out times as we want you to get the most out of your stay! We are more than happy to answer any questions prior or during the stay, just send us an email or phone!
Other things to note
As this is a bayside town there can be sand flies and mosquitos at certain times of the year. The cottage is always stocked with insect repellant and mosquito coils which work a treat!
If there are any issues, please just get in touch as we want to resolve any problems asap. We are only new to hosting so we hope you can offer guidance if you think we can make any improvements!
As with most properties on Airbnb, our only expectation is that you treat the property respectfully. This is our family holiday home too so we have tried our best to fit it out with everything a guest could need. We just ask that you enjoy the cottage and take care of it as you would your own home :)
Hi, my name is Yvonne and I am from Brisbane, Australia. I work as a Registered Nurse in a large public hospital so my job allows me to constantly meet new people and I really enjoy looking after my patients.
I have two children, both in their early 30s and my daughter Ingrid will often be helping with hosting on Airbnb. When I'm not working I spend most my days babysitting Lager, my daughter's dog, and cooking feasts for family and friends. I am obsessed with English murder mysteries and although I always claim that it's "just because of the scenery" I secretly love the intrigue.
