The space

North facing bedroom on the top floor in a modern (Building completed July 2013) two bedroom apartment in Port Melbourne. Located one block back from the popular & beautiful Port Melbourne beach, your bedroom opens directly onto the balcony & faces North offering glimpses of the city & Docklands skylines.

You will enjoy a luxurious dedicated guest bathroom & shower (Contains infrequently used but SHARED Euro laundry). The apartment is very well furnished. Access to a front loader washing machine & clothes dryer is included. Wi-Fi internet access is available as well as a fully equipped kitchen, with gas stove, microwave oven, convection oven, dishwasher & fridge freezer. I also provide clean towels and freshly laundered bed linen on arrival (Bed linen, including DOUBLE pillow coverings & mattress protector, as well as towels are washed weekly for longer term guests).

The beach is a 200m walk away.
The building has a rooftop deck/common area offering 360 degree views of the CBD, Docklands & the Melbourne 'Star' as well as Port Phillip Bay. All are quite spectacular at night & great for unique photographic opportunities.
Port Melbourne's main retail shopping strip, Bay St is a mere 200m walk away & offers an increasingly diverse range of food, café, clothing & entertainment options.

Other things to note

The bed is fitted with an electric blanket for an extra pleasant & comfortable sleep in the cooler months (Generally April through to August).

I am providing quality bed & linen in a dedicated bedroom, please DO NOT sleep anywhere else in the apartment. The leather couch in the common area is NOT for sleeping on at guest discretion (Bed linen can be easily removed & cleaned, couches cannot be easily cleaned).

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen for meals, please place used/dirty dishes in the dishwasher for cleaning when finished.

Overhead pantry cupboard on the LEFT of the rangehood as well as the lower shelving of the fridge is dedicated for guest use.

Please be respectful of the space, treat everything as if it was your own & leave the space as you found it i.e. Clean & tidy.

Please ensure you lock the apartment when you leave and turn off the a/c, bathroom fan, all lights and TVs (Drop key in 503 letterbox if I cannot be there when you vacate).

James is very helpful in all aspects, starting from checking us in, making sure that we have everything we required for our long stay and even to buying a luggage scale to facilitate our packing! Even though the apartment is small but it is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. James also made sure that everything was neat and clean during our stay. I don't think there's much more to say, but you would be missing out on the best place to stay (value for the money & close to the city) if you pass on this. Thank you James for your kind hospitality!

It goes without saying that the apartment is in a beautiful part of Melbourne, and the apartment itself is very nice and super tidy, but it was the little touches that made the stay so great. The introductory letter, the labelled cupboards, the electric blanket, the coffee machine with take away cups and lids, the list goes on! I had a great few days here and will definitely be staying again next time I'm town. Thanks again, James!

James is friendly and a helpful host. Your place might not be the biggest but it was clean, stylish, and efficient. Kitchen has all the essential equipment for cooking. His place is rather convenient and well equipped, only about 30 mins from CBD by tram, and an easy 10 min walk from the train station. Great location, only a couple of minutes walk to the station, supermarket and to the local shops! Beautiful view and lovely walking trail beside the river. And I loved the area, you have found a great spot to live in!

My partner and I highly recommend staying with James, as our stay was perfect. His home is very well kept, clean, and comfortable. It is near shops and the beach. Perfect location. James is very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again for sure!

James is just the PERFECT HOST! he's nice, friendly and super helpful. He let us use the laundry, the TV , all the utensils in the kitchen. The house is super furnished and full of all the comforts you might need (hair dryer, TV in the room, heated bed...). He provided us with two sets of keys which was really handy being the two of us. He offered to store our luggage in his store room and provided us with clean towels and linens for the entire stay. The place is not very big but we had our own bathroom and lots of privacy. The apartment is almost facing the beach (only one block away) and is super quite even if closed to the Main Street. Tram stop is only 10 minutes away. We just loved it and already missing it so much! We hope to see you soon James! Thanks for the stay :)
