La Casa Verde, in the heart of Spain´s La Rioja wine area. We can share our knowledge and contacts in La Rioja, so that you can sample and learn about this historic wine area.

Our rooms are large, and our price is 54€ for the double room. For an additional bed, add 12€. Breakfast and taxes are included.

Every room has a bathroom with a shower.

One apartment has a small kitchen and four beds. Ideal for families.
(The price for the apartment is 80€ total, with breakfast included.)

We have a large garden to enjoy, play and rest. Our children often play with the others, so it is usually a fun place to be!

We have an unsupervised swimming pool. Please ask for permission to use it.

Animals are also welcome, at an additional cost of 5€.

La Rioja is a famous region of wine and food. There are a few good restaurants at reasonable prices nearby, plus there is the famous tapas street of Calle Laural in Logroño.

Ana can provide simple dinner with advance notice, for 10€ per adult, 8€ per child, if you want to stay in.

Our home is special because it is our home, where we live. We love it here, and share our love with the area with our guests.

Guests have access to our two living rooms and the garden.

Interaction with guests

Some guests prefer privacy and we respect that, other like sharing a good Rioja with us and that always makes us happy... You are always welcome if you have children!

The neighbourhood

The area is surrounded by beautiful cliffs and it is a quiet, peaceful and realxing. The river nearby is an excellent place to enjoy a swim on a hot summer day.

Getting around

There are buses to the closest village Nalda, but bringng your own vehicle is advised as La Rioja is all about driving through the little villages and mountain roads.

Pilar and Andrew at Casa Verde were the friendliest and best hosts of our 3 weeks in Spain by a long way. What a lovely family to meet and spend time with! Nothing is too much trouble and Pilar can help you with all your questions on best places to visit, eat etc. Andrew will cook you an excellent hearty meal for you to enjoy in the evening. This is a quiet location set in beautiful mountainous country but only 20mins from Logrono if you want tapas, bars, shopping etc Absolutely recommended!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Incredible view of the rock mountain right in front our room. Pilar made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Simple and hearty breakfast. Would stay here again in the future.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Verde. Pilar, the owner's sister, took very good care of us. She greeted us upon arrival, made us tea after our long drive, and gave us much advice for our visit to Rioja. She is the most hospitable host I have ever met. The house is in a somewhat remote area, with beautiful views. Nice hot shower in a small, but private bathroom. The bed is pretty firm, but that seems pretty typical in Europe. I highly recommend this bnb so don't hesitate to book!

We were welcomed late at night after getting lost for this last minute reservation. We were so comfy here, the home is just beautiful and we wanted longer. Just get clear directions for the turn off of the main road as we drove right by in the dark. Being served breakfast and getting the great recommendation for a family owned winery that still crushes grapes by foot was something that we would never have discovered on our own.

We had a great stay at Casa Verde with Ana, Steven and their family! We made a last minute request just a couple of hours before our arrival and Ana was very in her response, even though we arrived after midnight Ana and Steven were up wanting for us welcoming us with light up candles in the garden and a very nice and clean house and great surroundings! In the morning we were greeted with a nice Canadian/Spanish breakfast a nice chat at some really great travel recommendations! Ana and Steven are great host and we would recommend a stay at their house to anyone!

Our stay at Casa Verde was lovely. The house is in an absolutely beautiful place and we loved seeing a more rural area in Spain. Pilar and her daughter were both so helpful and kind. Not only did Pilar serve us breakfast in the morning, but she also gave us great recommendations for places to see and eat and even set up a tour and tasting at a local family's intimate bodega for us. I highly recommend staying here!

We are a Canadian-Spanish family, with 5 children from 5 to 16 years old. Our house is a large, Canadian style wooden structure, in a garden with about 5000 m2 of space in the wine region of La Rioja, about 2 hours drive from the French border.

We are travellers, but with a big family, it is getting harder and harder to move about, so we decided to build a B and B so that travellers come to us!

In our B and B, guests share a bottle of wine or a mug of good coffee with us while we explain about the interesting things to do in this area.

A beautiful two bedroom apartment across the park from Socoa beach is also available to rent, any time of the year. It is our favourite beach, because it is quiet, a nice walk from St. Jean de Luz, or a short drive to the surfing beaches of Hendaya in Southern France.
