The nearby working smallholding is organic, off grid and selfsuficient in meat and veg. Roz and Phil will be around to make sure you are comfortable and have all you need, but we will leave you to enjoy your own area.
This interesting and inspiring site also has a vintage air stream caravan(1970) a show wagon (1947) and a craft hut built as a shepherds hut. Roz's Craft hut is popular with guests who have a similar inclination and you may book a craft session on arrival.
Bring tea lights to provide a romantic setting, also if you bring a good torch or camping lantern it would be useful.
Toilet with cold wash basin, located up the field.
There is a nearby hot water shower installed for guests.
Interaction with guests
Hosts Roz and Phil are welcoming and friendly and will seek to make the accomodation comfortable.
The Romany caravan is tucked away in the corner of the field, giving guests a very private experience . We think of it as a private area where guests can experience the outdoors in comfort, wander through trees, along mown pathways and sit by one of three secluded ponds, hear birds sing and listen to wildlife away from the city and traffic noise.
It is an idyllic way to get back to nature, in a private setting.
We do leave our guests to enjoy the space, but we welcome them to have a guided tour around our vintage property and share ideas about our lifestyle too. The Romany Caravan was featured at the local Malpas Yesteryear Rally pulled by our vintage Ferguson tractor.
We are mostly self sufficient , we talk a lot about vegetable gardening, keeping pigs, cows, chickens and growing trees, particularly willow.

We are a self sufficient , off the grid organic smallholding. I am Roz, a retired teacher and enjoy crafting in my shepherds hut, my husband Phil and I are well travelled, interesting people who aspire to living 'the good life'. We produce our own meat and veg and our collectables include a 1947 Show Wagon and a 1970s Airstream caravan and our 'workhorse' is a 1951 fergie tractor!
We are growing a small woodland including willow for basket making and willow structures.
Our Glamping Site is a tranquil oasis and we invite you to come and relax outdoors and enjoy our creativity.
Phil loves building small spaces. We only accommodate up to three couples, this year this will include the idyllic Granary Grain Silo and matching kitchen, in addition to the Luxury Bell Tent and Romantic Romany Wagon. All private retreats.
Relaxing, glamping at its best...
