I was overall pleased to stay at this place. Even though my stay was short I felt like I would definitely come back here. It also has great roots and history that can be appreciated.

I had such a wonderful experience staying at TruDSoul International B&B. Mama Sandra and Baba Charles were gracious hosts, who offered so much advice. This spot was perfect for my month-long stay in Detroit. I was close to so many cool locations. I was able to walk to New Center, WSU, and downtown.

Everything was amazing and peaceful. I was welcomed on my arrival with a detailed package and instructions on places to go eat with my friend that night. The room and breakfast area was so inviting. Mama Sandra gave me a tour of the black history museum, the gift shop and other places. I felt completely at home during my stay. The accommodations were neat, clean, orderly, plus had all that I needed. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries, soap and more. I was able to get the most restful sleep during my vacation there. I want to stay here on my next visit to Detroit.

A really good experience and an example of community creativity and hospitality at its best. If you want to see what Detroit is really about this is a great way to do it.

I loved staying with Mama Sandra and Baba Charles. The home has beautiful art throughout. They checked in and made me feel welcome. I only stayed for one night but would definitely go back.

If you're visiting Detroit and have the good sense to step off the typical well worn paths toward downtown hotels or AirBnB's in the suburbs, then you've really got to check out TruDSoul International B&B. Mama Sandra and Baba Charles have created a safe, secure, accessible and downright historic place of refuge in what is too commonly considered an off limits neighborhood for visitors. I only stayed one night this time around but I'll be back sometime and I'll certainly be staying with these fine people at this bold and inspired oasis they've created. This is a 5 star place, not because it's a fancy arrangement but because of the heart and soul going into it all.
