Ground floor apartment, renovated old stone house
Peaceful residential location, 10 mins walk to beaches and village centre
Sleeps 2/4 (1 Bedroom). Published prices are based on two people sharing the apartment. Three or four people request price.

The space

This is the ground floor apartment of an original old stone house built approximately 150 years ago. Renovation has been carried out by local craftsmen to extremely high specification. The apartment consists of an open-plan kitchen and living area supplemented by a modern shower room with wash basin and wc. There is a double bedroom and a double sofabed in the living area giving a capacity of 4 persons. Bol is a quite unique location and probably one of the most desirable holiday destinations in Croatia. It is the home of the most famous - and most photographed - beach in Croatia: Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn). Bol is also the oldest settlement on the island of Brac. The central part of the village is built mainly of stone of local origin but there are more modern buildings on the outskirts of the village and modern hotels are discreetly hidden among the pine trees between the village and Zlatni Rat.

About the area

Coast/Beach
There are several local beaches in the village which are very picturesque and offer a very different atmosphere to the popular Zlatni Rat. Zlatni Rat can be accessed via a pine covered tiled walkway from the village (approximately 20 minutes stroll). In season there are frequent ferries from the village harbour to Zlatni Rat and a land train which runs to and from the seafront in the village to the beach.

How to get there
Many carriers now fly to Croatia. Split airport is served by Wizzair - from Luton, easyJet - from Gatwick and Stansted and Croatia Airlines - from Gatwick and Heathrow. Also flights into Split from other UK airports as well as flights from all over Europe. There is a small airport near Bol served by small, twin-turbo aircraft carrying about 100 passengers. Croatia Airlines runs a service from Zagreb to Bol. There are other airlines running services into Bol airport from other European locations.

Distances
Bol is linked to the mainland (Split) by a once-a-day catamaran service which leaves Bol early in the morning (6.30 am) and returns at 5 pm (leaving Split at 4 pm). This is definitely the most convenient method of accessing Bol from the mainland, taking only one hour. Other methods are car ferry from Split-Supetar-Split (1 hour) and then taxi (35 minutes) or local bus service (1 hour).

The apartment was really modern, clean, well equipped and close to the central furrow fare which was great, nipping in and out was easily do-able There is a steepish climp to get to the apartment which was fine for us but maybe need to be aware if elderly, less able, using buggies etc. We did do a fair amount of walking around and we're often very hot getting back to the apartment which only had one fan so staying cool was tricky, it helped to keep the place shut up keeping the cool air in rather than introducing hot air into the rooms. All in all we had a great week at Eddies apartment and would definitely recommend and go back

We loved our stay at Eddies place. It was just wonderful. The apartment is pretty big and has a great kitchen plus a terrace where you can eat on with a great sea view and there is a lovely local neighbour. It is very well located, near a supermarket, a nice cafe, very close to the city center and in the middle of the 2 main beaches of bol, which you can easily reach by foot. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much, Eddie!

Eddie was a great host. We had to cut our trip one day short and he accommodated us. His property manager was prompt and very nice. She offered to pick us up at the ferry stop and bring us up to the house. We had a car, but it was nice of her to offer. The house was short distance from town and grocery which was great. However, it is deceptively far from zlani rat beach. About 30 minutes walk. And that beach is crazy busy in the summer time and tourist and vendors galore. We went in august. The washer dryer was great but it was difficult to use and no manual. Beware that it takes 4-6 hours to complete depending if you are also drying. No ac, but we were ok with it. No wifi, which caused me to spend on my international data plan. Overall the place was charming and location decent if you can get over some of the small shortcomings.

The standard of the apartment was better than expected The location is good - only 5-7 minutes walk to the center and 2 minutes to the supermarket Quite neighborhood With air conditioning and wifi I would for sure give this place the top score And Only 3 min walk to the best restaurant "Ranc" Tips : rent a boat from MARIO (one of the taxi boat to the beach ) and decide where you wanna go and for how long, for a really good price! Our best day was on that boat ️️️ The host is really helpful and nice I absolutely Recommend this place
