Here you live in a converted old farm where the tranquility feels right inside the port. Here's peace to recover for those seeking peace. Shower with warm water in the sidehouse. Nowadays also toilet. Water for kitchens and food is available here. Discharge by hand outdoors or inside. Bench pan with 2 plates small mickro in the kitchen. No wifi is available on the farm, it is important to know when teens are especially disappointed, but will be 2018. The farm is located in the middle of Öland in the country.

The space

In the main building's living room there is a cozy fireplace and we provide you with it if you need it. The living space is on the ground floor, but the upper floor is available to view. The sleeping area is distributed partly in the main building, and the smaller exception house. There are three bedrooms, as well as a common family room and a kitchen. In addition, guests can access the upper floor, which is turn of the century and decorated with original details, which applies to all rooms. It's a bit like staying at a museum! The house is commemorated, which means that by law it is forbidden to carry out any changes in the construction, in addition to the time of modern restoration with old technology. This preserves the charm, but unfortunately, the consequence is that water and toilet can not be installed on the plot. Fresh water is now available in the side house as we have installed a toilet o shower, where you bring water to the household. Now small children families can live here, as the area is very quiet and the converted farm with surroundings is child-safe and safe.

Guest access

In addition to the two buildings, there is a large farmhouse and a secluded garden in the back.

Interaction with guests

We who rent out live in the yard next door and you have the opportunity to ask about something you're wondering about.
translated by Google

Other things to note

As mentioned above, for legal reasons, there is no possibility of running water. This is important to take into consideration as a guest. We have now installed municipal water in the side house, which makes it easier for guests to self-extract water for their own needs.

A unique place, a bit like stepping into a time capsule. A place that will make you understand Oland better than hours of driving around.

This is a very special place full of history. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, access to the coast with ease and there is plenty of opportunity to discover the island's villages and varied landscape. The host is truly welcoming and what a treat to find fresh eggs at the doorstep. We highly recommend a stay here.

Highly recommended - a unique and memorable place to call home while exploring the beautiful island of Öland. The house itself was like stepping into a history book, while still managing to be cosy and having all the necessary amenities (water/new indoor toilet/shower) within reach. Boel was a fantastic host, always contactable if needed, allowing us our own space whilst also ensuring we had everything we needed (we even got some fresh eggs from the farmyard chickens thrown in for free!). A perfect place to get away from it all. Thank you for a truly fantastic weekend!

Well what a lovely interesting place to stay! Not for the package holiday travel inn traveller but definitely for a group of adventurers who want somewhere to talk about on their journey onwards..... Toilet-ing and showering is something you must try, and it was nice to be reminded just how much we take for granted in the modern world (re:water conservation). The place is (as previously described) like a museum and we had the whole place to ourselves. The free roaming chickens outside added to the very rural feel (just as well because it's very rural!) Beds were comfy and clean, modern shower was clean with a minor pipe mishap in the morning (now resolved) and you cannot capture the essence of past Sweden without staying here at least once! Within 25min drive of the lovely city of Kalmar and you get to go over the best bridge in Sweden to get to it! Boel, the host was lovely and came to greet us and show us around, but left us to enjoy the place ourselves. She was in regular contact with us prior to and post trip so all very uncomplicated! Wifi is not provided (or required with so much to see) so prepare to turn your phone off for your stay!

This place was breathtakingly beautiful, it surpassed all expectations. The house and surrounding area was stunning, and the little touches in the house, from candles to extra blankets, and BBQ coal at the ready, all really added to the exceptional experience. We would absolutely come back again and round recommend this place as a must for anyone visiting southern Sweden. Thank you for a simply amazing night stay! Nicky and James

When we first drove into Boel's enclosed dwelling yard and saw the large old house where we would be staying, we were a bit emotionally overtaken. It was like going back in time. The house dates back to 1864, as I recall, and the surrounding buildings in the dwelling yard all were of similar age. Not many signs of the 21st Century. Inside our adopted house was very homey. It's late September, the fall is coming on strong. But the home is warm, comfy, there's a nice bed, and a good kitchen for our stay. The side building about 25 steps out the front door is where you take a shower and visit the toilet. (Since we're both 70-something we had two milk cartons to serve as chamber pots during the night.) Everything was clean and comfortable. The best part of the experience for us was that it took us back in time, to our childhoods, when we would listen to stories from our parents and grandparents about life on farms in the early 1900s on the Great Plains of Nebraska. Oland Island and Nebraska in America have a lot in common, and it all helped us emotionally reconnect with our own family roots. Thanks to Boel for the huge amount of work she put in over two years to get this beautiful old farmstead in great shape for visitors who want to do some reconnecting.
