Jesse is a great host. Attentive but unobtrusive, and ensured we had everything we need. The condo was beautiful and perfect for our family. We would definitely return.

What a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved the street and the quiet and the feeling of being in a city home in the middle of a bustling university setting. If you are ever visiting Loyola of Chicago I highly recommend Jessie's home as a Lillypad from which to launch on your exploring adventures. Easy access to the L trains, good restaurants all around, and such a lovely setting if you just need to unwind at a home away from home after a long day. Jesse was responsive and communicative and everything was just as promised. We are really happy with our choice. I think you will be too.

Jesse was a great host, striking a good balance between being attentive and letting you have your independence. I got into town about 7 pm on a Thursday and was able to find at least 2 parking spaces on the same block as the condo. The timing worked out where Jesse could meet me there and show me around the place. After going through the place, he gave me parking passes for the nights of my stay! I didn't use the car until I was leaving so just had to change the parking sticker in the evening. Jesse has a great place. I didn't spend much time there, but the living and dining areas are very spacious for larger groups. The kitchen was well-stocked/equipped. As others have mentioned, the Red Line station at Loyola is only a few blocks away, and there's a Starbuck's at the end of the block! Very comfortable ride on the Red Line to the Loop to meet my daughter for lunch. Would definitely consider staying at Jesse's place if I wanted a more neighborhood feel and didn't need to be in the Loop/Magnificent Mile area.

We enjoyed the Rogers Park neighborhood with its green trees and friendly people and was conveniently near the CTA for trips downtown. Jesse was there to greet us with a bottle of wine and tips on neighborhood restaurants. He was often in touch to make sure all was well. A charming old apartment with plenty of space for the 5 of us

Dear Airbnb Travelers,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to my home in Chicago, steps away from the lake on a quiet street, but nestled in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods and cities in the country! I've lived in this historic home for 11 years, and love opening it to families and visitors from around the world.

I'm a bass player that has traveled the world playing music, including most recently to India, and my work as a classical music radio producer has taken me to China, Bosnia, Colombia, Indonesia, Russia, and far beyond. I've played with Chance the Rapper, interviewed Yo-Yo Ma, and even worked for the White House!

Airbnb has been so transformational in my life that I'm currently writing several books to help both travelers and hosts get the most out of the platform. I pride myself on being a responsive but not overly invasive host, always ready with a restaurant recommendation or hidden neighborhood hotspot.
