Interaction with guests
We both work full time but we are usually around evenings and weekends. We have lived in London for over 5 years and know the city well. We are on hand to offer tips and advice on the local area and the rest of this fantastic city. We are sociable and enjoy meeting fellow travellers but are equally respectful of your privacy.
The flat is a couple of minutes walk from Tooting Common which has the largest outside lido in London as well as tennis courts, athletic track and ample other amenities. Perfect for a walk to escape the hustle and bustle of London. Walk two minutes in the other direction and you will find a high street full of independent cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. We are a 20 minute train ride from central London and 15 minutes by bus to trendy Brixton where there are lots of independent shops, restaurants, bars and pubs. You can park for free just outside the flat.
A 2 minute walk takes you to the high road where there are plenty of buses that take you to Brixton or further into central London. Buses to Brixton take 10-15mins where you can connect onto the fast and efficient Victoria line on the underground. A 5 minute walk takes you to Streatham Hill train station with trains every 15mins to Clapham Junction, London Victoria and London Bridge. A 15 minute walk through the park takes you to Balham where you can connect on to the Northern line. Streatham is well connected by bus or train to Gatwick (1 hour), Heathrow (1hour/1.30hour) and Luton (1.30hour direct train)
I am a broadcast journalist living and working in London. I currently live with my partner, a public health nutritionist, in Streatham, South West London. We both love travelling, discovering new places and soaking up the local culture on our trips.
