My stay at Mary & Eric's was fantastic. The private room with its own en suite bathroom and balcony could not have been more perfect. It is so lovely and well appointed, with anything you could need or want during your stay. I felt how much thought went into setting up this room for guests and filling it with tons of tiny details and amenities (e.g. a toothbrush in case you forget yours, paper towels, a hair dryer, dish soap, coffee & tea, to name a few), so it gave me the warm-and-fuzzies, and I felt at home and welcome. The bed and pillows were so comfortable; I think the mattress must have been some kind of memory foam or similar, so sleeping here was heavenly. This is my favorite of the Airbnbs I've stayed in to-date. Eric was out of town, so Mary was my host, and she was wonderful. The check-in process with Mary was smooth, and I received such a warm and inviting welcome from her. We had a great time chatting together at check-in, found we had some things in common, we could have talked for hours. She had a ton of great recommendations for me to check out around Albuquerque, which were really helpful, having not ever been there before, and fun. Thank you so much, Mary & Eric!

This was a charming and comfortable private room for our two night stay in Albuquerque. Very easy communication and a friendly welcome from Eric and Mary. Definitely a good location for venturing out by car, and walkable to Nob Hill. A great deal!

This was the best little place to stay for the balloon fiesta! The room was the perfect size and extremely private. Less of a private room and more like our own apartment! Everyone was very friendly and provided us with great advice for the fiesta.

Eric and Mary are wonderful hosts and the room and property is beautiful and cozy. They are very communicative and provided some great recommendations on their local favorites. The location is great being so close to gas, Whole Foods, restaurants, and easy access to the highway to get you to other parts of Albuquerque. You can even see the hot air balloons from the Fiesta from the corner of their street! I am definitely coming back to Albuquerque and New Mexico in the future and would stay with Eric and Mary again. I also left a sweater behind and they are generously shipping it to me! So grateful!

Great place to stay. About a 4 minute drive to the highway and to Nob Hill. Walking distance to Nob Hill about 15-20 minutes. Saw our host upon arrival he showed us around. Entrance is through the side gate and entrance to the loft is private as well. Exactly what we needed for the time and space we needed. Only there for 2 nights and we didn't need a full on kitchen, so this is perfect. Towels were clean and big enough to fit around your body. Bathroom amenities were available to use which was great! Microwave and fridge were the perfect addition. It does get bright in the room as the sun comes up the shades only help so much but we came prepared with our sleep masks! I loved the little porch area that is private for us to use. It did rain on our first night though so we couldn't use the cushions the next day because they were still wet from the rain, which I was bummed about. Parking on the street is easy and right in front. We didn't feel the neighborhood was unsafe and I didn't fear for my car getting broken into at all. We did get woken up a couple times from doors opening and shutting underneath us so if you are a light sleeper, bring a noise maker of some sort to block that noise out if you're trying to sleep in. They just put in a nice AC unit which worked wonderful during the afternoon when the sun really beamed in the room.

Eric did his utmost to make our experience memorable and relaxing. He was always in great communication - and was flexible when we needed a last-minute arrangement to stay. They put in a new heater/AC (that day!) that worked marvelously. The room also has a quiet ceiling fan for air circulation and plenty of windows for a breeze. We loved having the little balcony to sip wine in the evenings and coffee in the mornings. We also liked the privacy of our own entryway beside the house. The second floor room felt far away from the rest of the home and was very quiet. Also, the shower had great water pressure and stayed very hot even though it was in the room (instead of a closed off bathroom). The bed = super comfortable. Plenty of blankets, too :). We brought our own coffee grinder and pour over, and used their little coffee pot to heat water. The water tasted clean - unlike a lot of the hard water in Albuquerque. Whole Foods and Smith's are both nearby--as well as Nob Hill area and I-40. Great location and overall lovely experience. Thank you!
