I keep the curtains closed to save energy on AC because I get the afternoon sun but feel free to open them.

Very cute, cozy apartment and it's close to DC and Arlington. Lost of running and biking trails nearby and there's a great dog park up the road.

If you are looking for a night stay at someone else's place, I think it will work very well for you. For our case, it was a 20 day stay, and the apartment was so full of stuffs that it made the stay very uncomfortable. For example, the freezer was full of frozen boxes of cooked noodles, more than 6 boxes of ice creams that we can not put our stuffs in. However, If you are expecting to eat someone's opened ice cream jar, it would be very convenient. Communications throughout the stay was easy and quick, but surprised to be charged for cleanness and damages - was shown two pictures of stain and damage that we really can't think of where those were and if they were there before the stay. Anyways, not the best experience we had.

Response from Courtney:
I would like to begin by saying that the person that actually reviewed my place did not actually step foot in my place. Then I will go into saying that her husband and children stayed in my place and left my place absolutely disgusting. They also left stains in my carpet. Now I know that they were not previously on the carpet because I moved ALL of my living room furniture to vacuum because she said her daughter was allergic to dogs. As I cleaned I also noticed that they started a small kitchen fire and managed to burn parts of my cast iron stove. I then found pen marks on my living room coffee table and a chunk taken out of my dining table. Airbnb paid out $350 for the damages they inflicted. I also spent half an hour replacing furniture in the correct position and had to get on my hand and knees to clean up half a trash bag worth of trash out from underneath my sofa and chair. When I submitted a claim she said that it was entirely my fault and that I knew she had children staying there. I have four nieces and nephews and they never leave a mess like this, the last child that left even close to this type of mess was my friend's ten month old and she did not know better. The freezer had plenty of room considering I was able to put 18 lobster tails in after I returned from Key West. I would also like to state that there was a point when one of the air mattresses I provided (with memory foam) was deflating, and even with a rear end collison where my car was totaled and spending four hours in the ER, I still Managed to have a replacement within 24 hours. None of this sounds like I deserved one star. What it does sound like is most parents I teach who believes their children are angels, which is rarely true. I felt offended my this guest on how they treated my HOME considering how welcoming I was and the 30 messages I answered before their visit about gyms and the messages I responded to during their visit about getting around the area. Complete shame on them.

Courtney's place is as described. Perfect for those wanting to be close enough to D.C. but far away from the busyness and noise of the city. Location was perfect and centrally located with easy access to the metro (10 mins drive), 15 mins to Alexandria for some fine dining at Old town, or a quick 5 minute drive to various dining and shopping options in Arlington.

Our family of 4 stayed at Courtney's place for 2 weeks. We are familiar with the Washington DC area and wanted a location that would be quiet and residential. The apartment is a good size for 2-4 people and Courtney's kitchen has all the pots/pans and dishes you need to cook simple meals and avoid eating out all the time. The hostess thought of all the things we might need to be comfortable and was easy to reach with any questions. We had an effortless checkin and out with a lock box, and parking for our car in a dedicated parking spot (which is awesome in this area as street parking can be hard to find). Highly recommend Courtney's place as a home away from home in the capitol region. It's very cozy and inviting.

The place is awesome! Unlike many other flats, this one gives the feeling that you are staying over a friend's place for a weekend. I'd recommend the place to other people. You can also easily find great restaurants nearby ( I highly recommend Thai Square).

This was such a great place for us!! We needed to be in Arlington, Georgetown, and downtown D.C. while we stayed and it was close to everything! Starbucks a mile away, sidewalks to run, an area to walk a dog, and overall was nice and secluded so you didn't feel like you were in a big city. Courtney was fantastic in communicating and anything we needed she was available! I would absolutely come stay here again.
