Anna and her mother were in one of our apartments for 4 nights. Because we had a water leak the night before their checkin, and that prevented us from informing them in a timely manner, we asked them, at check-in, to stay in another, in a building next door, also in Airbnb site. Although they had agreed, as soon as they arrived at the apartment, they took dishes from the cupboard, as well as other utensils, on the table, showing ostentatiously, in front of the checkin staff, who checked to see if they were clean, in a way we considered very unpolite.
That same day Anna sent a message demanding that we should refund the money of the reservation, or, if we didn't, they would contact Airbnb. When we told them that Airbnb was already aware of the situation, she left talking or answering, never responding to any of our messages. They were in the apartment during the whole stay, because we could not solve the infiltration, and members of our staff crossed with them several times, they never said anything
Two days after they checked out, we were once again blackmailed by Anna, in order to give back part or all of the value of the reservation, otherwise they would make a negative comment. According to what Anna wrote it would be much worse for us. Interesting to verify that their comment, bad or good, would depend only on you to pay the refund of your stay.
Of course we do not give in to this attempt that extortion of money from an unscrupulous host, who resorts to this expedient by corrupting the system of comments of the Airbnb, perfectly legitimate and proper, when it is in good faith, but that when used by unworthy people, Can be perverse.
