We loved our stay at George's house! The house was just right, comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of outdoor space. It was so easy to step out to enjoy the sunset on the balcony and for the kids to run around outside in the yard. The beach is so close, making it easy to run back to the house if you need something. The location of the house on the island made it easy for us to explore by car. We managed visits to Knossos, Rethymno, Preveli Beach, Samaria Gorge, and lots of countryside. George and Dina were very welcoming. George met us on the road so we could find the house easily then showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. He also checked in with us periodically to make sure everything was fine. He even brought us salad from his farm! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Crete, and our stay in the house was a big part of it.

My family had a fantastic stay at the house for 7 nights. It's located in a beautiful spot right on a stunning 12km stretch of beach. It felt like you had the entire place to yourself some days. The house is big and well equipped. The veranda with swinging chair and hammock was brilliant for lazing during hot afternoon and evening dining. George was a brilliant host. Very responsive and attentive. He's a organic farmer so was kind enough to give us a tour of his olive and salad farm and let us take home some of the final products!

We were a family of five holidaying on Crete for the first time. All interaction with George was really good prior to arrival although we had a little difficulty finding the house the first time – this isn’t really helped by the local driving which by UK standards can be quite surprising. It means you need to fully concentrate on what is happening around you! The house itself is almost perfect. It’s actually the middle floor apartment (of three, although the other two were not ready at the time of writing). George met us and showed us round – there were lovely cakes for us to eat and regular deliveries of fresh vegetables and olive oil from his organic farm. He was really wonderful and even an immediate drama by one of our children did not phase him! Positives: Its location was perfect – a real slice of paradise, with an excellent raised sunbed area at the end of the garden and a boardwalk out onto the sand, where you could feel like you had your own private beach most of the time. The large L-shaped balcony was perfect to sit out on at all times of the day with a lovely hammock, a swinging chair, a table and chairs and a sofa. There was often a cooling breeze off the sea which could be quite firm but was never a problem, in fact it was often a relief. The showers in the bathroom AND in the garden are great – it was hard to get our little one out of the one in garden! The kitchen is very well stocked. And for those who don’t wilt in the sun, there is a private beach volley ball court. On the beach front there are numerous tavernas, separated from the house by an empty plot on one side, and a long stretch of grasses on the other. A couple of them have little pools for children to splash about it, and free sun loungers. The food is pretty good and cheap in the second one to the right as you look at the sea. Less positives: It is very close to Crete’s major coastal road and the noise could be a bit of an issue from some. The bed in the main bedroom is *very* firm and we had to soften it with a couple of duvets. There’s only one airconditioning unit and it’s in the bedroom with two single beds, but we found the temperature to be just fine. Really these are minor concerns though. The truth is this is about as perfect a place with as perfect a host as you can get. We were very lucky to have found George’s house and were very, very sad to be leaving when our time was up. Thank you very much George!

We had an absolutely brilliant time staying in Paralia. The flat is lovely- exactly as described and pictured. You could really notice how newly renovated it is and how well George and Dina have maintained and decorated it. A highlight was the coffee machine (which George and Dina restocked halfway through the week because we used it so much). We spent most of the time outside, either on the (very large) balcony area, or out on the beachfront garden area, under the umbrellas, which are both very well equipped and shaded. The balcony has a really great view over the sea and the mountains, perfect for sunset watching over dinner. The location itself is great- it is quite remote, so the beach directly in front of the flat (which is so close it is practically your front garden) is usually deserted, making the flat feel like it has its own private beach. There are beach bars about 50 meters to either side if you fancy a drink or dinner, and Episkopi is a couple of kilometers inland- highly worth a visit. We didn't have a car while we were there, relying on buses and the occasional taxi, which was fine, but if you can hire a car that would probably be best. George and Dina were fantastic hosts, always ready to give advice about the local area and help out with anything we needed. We arrived to a freshly stocked fruit bowl and cakes, there was olive oil from George's (organic) farm, and Dina arrived with freshly dug up lettuce and potatoes halfway through the week, which was amazing! Highly recommended for a group of friends (like us) who want a relaxing holiday, or a small family keen to be right next to the beach.

Des and Sandra 10 to 17 May 2016 George is a great host. He makes you feel very welcome but respects your privacy. Here is no reason why you cannot have a great holiday here . The property is a detached 3 storey unit .The subject , 1st floor apartment, is the only one in current use. It enjoys a private well maintained site , located between the coastal highway and the sea . It's great to walk from your apartment straight on the beach for your early morning swim and not see a sole .

We were met at the beach bar 100 metres from the house by the host and headed to the beach house. After a quick tour, we were invited by George to his farm to see how they harvest the olives. This was a lovely gesture but unfortunately we were heading home the day of the harvest. The host had left us wine, ouzo, fruit, pastries and salad and George gave us more fresh veg from his farm later in the week. The house was immaculate and exactly as the pictures show. We had a hire car which is a must for this area as it is far from the tourist norm, which is what we wanted. We had an awesome time and will definitely try to book in again next year.

Exceptional accommodation!! This amazing apartment was just like the photos show, though the balcony is even bigger than it appears and we had the whole block and surroundings to ourselves. Konstantina and Giorgos were fantastic, friendly hosts who communicated very well with us. They were very welcoming and friendly. Giorgos met us at a beach bar 100metres from the house to take us along the road to it. The next day Giorgos delivered fresh fruit and vegetables from his organic farm to the house which we made lovely breakfasts and salads with. There was also lovely fruit, pastries and cookies in the house for our arrival as well as the brilliant raki left for us in the fridge! We spent most of our time when in the house on the balcony in the mornings and evenings whilst spending our days relaxing on the quiet beach 50m from the house - almost like having a private beach. We loved the undisturbed views of the sea from the balcony and the bedroom as well as the clean, modern decor and furnishings inside the house. We ate in the house a few times and used the barbecue which was great. We also ate at the two closest beach bars (Kyma and Christos) and loved the 100m walk to and from them along the beach at night. All in all, a superb stay in superb accommodation with great hosts!
