**30day minimum** The ideal location - walking distance to a lot & only 1/2 block from the train (yes, this makes a huge difference to city living!). Flex checkin/out. Safe, private spacious apt as reviews state -pics don't do justice! Clean, elevator, strong wifi.

The space

Comfortable NYC living! Live like a local (and I have tons of recommendations of cute places to check out). Unique, spacious 600sqft apartment with kitchen, bedroom with (1) mattress queen bed and (1) loft full bed (this is a cozy sleeping nook), sofa, dinette, outdoor courtyard & 9' ceilings. This could even be great for a dancer/performer as there are large over-sized mirrors. Elevator building, safe neighborhood... walking distance to major attractions & steps to the subway!

Guest access

Very private separate unit with own key. I occupy the entire floor but travel sporadically - sometimes stay in another unit and sometimes travel. You will have this apartment all to yourself for your entire stay.

Interaction with guests

As much or as little as you like, depending on my availability. If I'm here I'm happy to give a quick tour of the neighborhood and answer any questions!

Jessica made us feel welcome from the beginning, without ever seeing her, we collected the key easily from the Shockra studio and entered into the apartment. We loved it. Extremely spacious, lovely and warm, and absolutely everything you need for a short or long term stay in New York. If I am ever back in the area then I will 100% be staying in this or another of Jessicas apartment. What people are saying about the location is correct, its absolutely ideal, a McDonalds, Metro station and Duanes all down the road!! The area itself is absolutely lovely. Thanks ever so much!

The location of this apartment on 28th Street is fantastic, next to a subway and only a short walk away from the Empire State Building. Lots of good restaurants to choose from and a couple of rooftop bars close by. The apartment's other main selling point is its size - very generous for NY. My son enjoyed the loft bed and the double bed was extremely comfortable. As it was 90 degs every day, the air/con had to work hard, but the rooms stayed cool throughout. Jessica was so helpful with the booking and arrangements, especially over leaving bags on the last day. This is a great place to stay for exploring the best of NY.

Jessica was away when we arrived but her friend Sarah let us in. The apartment is very well located for exploring Manhattan, and although a little dark, it is clean, spacious and has a comfortable bed. It worked very well for our three night stay. The kitchen area was a bit under-equipped (no cutlery or kettle) but if you're eating out this is not a huge problem - and Jessica provided an extensive list of good places to go and eat at! Would definitely consider staying here again.

Jessica's place was the perfect home for my 30 day stay in the city. Communication was great, the apartment was clean and as described, plenty of space. Streets can be busy, but the apartment is super quiet. Can't beat the location. Having a subway stop less than a block away was as convenient as it gets. Plenty of restaurants around the apartment and Duane Reade right there on the corner for last minute necessities. Washer & dryer in the basement was a big plus, as was the delicious bagel shop downstairs and Jessica's helpful list of places to dine. Elevator in the building, so no hauling luggage (or laundry) up and down flights of stairs. Can't beat it. I would definitely stay again.

Jessica is a great host -- very responsive to all my questions and she offered numerous local recommendations and tips. The apartment is in a good location, with many conveniences: subway stop and 24-hour Duane Reed on the same block, and a great bagel shop that is literally next door. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing, and even more spacious then the photos suggest. It is clean, neat, comfortable, and quiet with fast wifi, air conditioning, elevator and washer/dryer in basement. Check-in is a breeze and Jessica provides a helpful info sheet with all the relevant details (wifi password, laundry info, etc). The apartment was perfect for my one-month stay -- highly recommended and I would definitely stay again!

The apartment was fantastic -- great location, clean, walking distance to so many things, near a subway station and every amenity you could want. It was perfect for us: two guys who needed a comfortable place to stay in NYC for a few days. The loft bed above the kitchen is a good idea, and maximizes the living space. We never met Jessica, but she provided helpful instructions by email on how to get there and places to eat/explore in the neighborhood. Despite the presence of dance studios and other businesses in the building, we never heard a sound. The only drawback was some confusion upon arrival. The keys weren't left where they were supposed to be. Thankfully the cleaner was there to let us in, but she wasn't expecting us until the next day. These miscommunications could have made for a hassle, given that we had luggage with us, but luckily it worked out fine. Overall, it was the perfect place for what we need it and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a convenient and cozy home-away-from-home in Manhattan.
