A great home in the heart of Boulder on the Hill and an easy walk to campus. This was my fourth trip to Boulder, but first time away from Pearl. We were there for parents weekend at CU, so being a little closer to campus and more in the thick of college life was ideal for us. And while the Hill has a well earned reputation for being a college party area, this house is far enough away from the bars and frat houses that we had no problems with noise or drunk college students. If you're up for a reasonably short bike ride or long walk, you can get to Pearl Street OK, but we were thankful to have a rental car. The house itself was in great shape and very clean. The kitchen was on the smaller side, but had everything we needed and was very nicely appointed. The back yard is private and a perfect place to hang. Stephen has great taste, and I would definitely consider staying here again. He was prompt in giving us the info we needed and check-in was flawless. So much so that we didn't have any questions or need to follow up with him while we were there, although I felt confident he was accessible if we did. There were two drawbacks that caught me a little by surprise, but ultimately did not keep us from having a great time: (1) While there is a great TV in the main room (plus a nice TV in the basement with a Wii) that has good streaming options for movies and old TV shows (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) there is no cable/sattelite TV or usuable internet browser. So if you want to be able to catch a game, watch the news, or anything else live, you might want to consider this. Luckily, this of course is Boulder so if you're focused on TV, you aren't "getting it" to begin with. (2) The third "bedroom" is not what most people would consider to be a bedroom. There is one bedroom on the main floor. Then there is a basement. It is a nice, fully finished basement with transom type windows just above ground level for light. There is a nice full second bedroom and a full bath down there, but the third "bedroom" is just the wide open common space in the basement with a futon. The futon was very comfortable once we opened it up and made it with the linens in the cabinets, but there was very little privacy.

Wow, what a gem! Perfectly placed home for all your boulder activities! Had such a blast with my dearest friends and brother. Great dinners in the backyard that felt secluded. Stephen had lists lined up of additional spots to go, see, eat, they were very helpful! The home was super light and airy that's very well kept. I would 100% stay here again when we're back in those neck of the woods! Thanks so much for an awesome experience!

Immaculate, well-appointed house in a fabulous location. Stephen was easy to communicate with in advance. The neighborhood was great -- two playgrounds nearby for our kids, amazing hiking, and a nice coffee shop on the corner. The yard was a great bonus. We'd love to come back to Boulder and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying in Stephen's home in Boulder! Very close to Chatauqua trailhead, and quick drive / long walk to downtown restaurants and farmers market. The living room was great for relaxing and watching a movie at night, loved the hardwood floors. Great backyard space for morning coffee! Kitchen was small but functional; cozy bathroom. Lots of living area in the basement, but felt like a basement. Also, the street is a little busier than you would expect. Overall, the place was very clean and met our needs for a family weekend in Boulder!

If you are interested in checking out Chautauqua & Boulder - this house is in a great location! We had 8 people in our party (6 adults & 2 young kids) and there was plenty of space for everyone in this house. We had another house rented, but were left high & dry just two weeks before our vacation. Stephen came to the rescue & helped accommodate us. Thank you Stephen! A nice little bonus was that Stephen provided many tips on the area for things to do, check out, & places to eat. This is a huge plus when you have never been to an area before.

My wife and I both enjoy outdoor adventures around the world and eagerly await new experiences with each journey. Whether it be on 2 wheels, 4 wheels, by boat, or on snow skis, we manage to find new memories everywhere we go. High points:
- we're a chatty couple that assimilates well to just about any group setting
- we've lived in shared housing and understand the level of respect that it calls for
- we maintain a high level of cleanliness for personal and short term housing

Several of our local friends provide housing through Airbnb and their experiences have turned us on to this new way of travel. What's even better, it gets you out of a stuffy hotel scene and into the actual neighborhoods, where life truly exists. We hope to see you along our journey!
