Caterina was very nice and helpful. She gave us a tour around the house and neighbourhood. The house is great, very spacious and filled with personal accents. Definitely not a typical rental house. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely holiday. The house his huge, very well-equipped and the pool is great. There are a few restaurants just up the road - we went to the one Catarina recommended and it was fabulous. She was so helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Achadina was a wonderful experience, and it is hard to know how to begin. The house is located in the historic Sao Jorge area of Sintra, on a beautiful narrow street with amazing views only 3 or 4 blocks from some wonderful restaurants, cafes, and bars. The house is very big, in fact, the entire area of our house would have fit in any one of the 3 floors. It is not a house, but a home--the host, Catarina, grew up spending summers there first herself and then with her children. You can get lost going room to room, and in the beautiful gardens that surround the house. Inside, it is beautiful and traditional with wood everywhere, and an excellent kitchen. It even has its own parking spot for your car, which you need to rent this house and take advantage of the area. Sintra is an historic area of Portugal. As you drive to Sintra from the airport, you will see lots of apartment buildings and say, what am I going to? Then you go up into Sintra's hills and realize you made a great choice, even better than staying further down in Sintra itself. The absolute best thing about this house is Catarina herself (and her husband, Felipe, is the same). She is a wonderful, kind, and generous human being. She may not have the time on every rental, but she took the time on our arrival to show us around Sintra, and take us to her favorite lunch place and café. One night she came by while my daughter was there along and took her to dinner in Lisbon! They also took us to see their rental in Estoril and we shared a dinner at their favorite fish place, which we never would have found alone. There were other kindnesses too numerous to name. We spent 2 weeks in the house, as a base for visiting many historic places both in Sintra and further north. We very much felt like we lived in Sintra. If you are looking for the type of experience in which you can feel the culture and what it is like to live in a place far from home, this might be for you. Note that Sintra is probably colder than you think. Even in mid-summer, while the skies are a perfect blue, the nights can get quite cold. So you may not use the pool much. Also, this is a traditional house, so the beds are singles and the showers have mostly hand wands you use. We found these as minor inconveniences compared to the tranquility, beauty, and safety of this Sintra residence. We hope you will enjoy it too! Thank you Catarina!

I was born in Lisbon at the Bairro Alto so I always wanted to live in typical neighborhoods. It is like living in a little village, where all the neighbors know who you are. and that is something very interesting because I´m still looking for my self.
I`m a Lisbon Lover, I like the litle streets, the river that is always present in my daily life, the sky, the people, the perspectives of the streets, the details, etc...
I like to know different people, I learn every time different ways to cope with life and different ways to dealing with ideas...
My dream was to have a gift but as a person born without any specific gift, I love music, painting, crafts, anything that moves with the feelings...
