The space
🏠 Your booking includes the entire waterfront home, fully equipped with all the comforts and conveniences you need for a relaxing stay. Enjoy a spacious outdoor fire-pit area and alfresco dining space, along with large windows throughout the home that frame views of the Gibsons shoreline and the dramatic mountains and greenery of Howe Sound. ⛰️ It’s the kind of place where, once you settle in, you won’t want to leave.

Ground Floor:
A fully equipped kitchen features large windows overlooking the fire pit and ocean. This level also includes a dining room, bathroom, bedroom with bunk beds, laundry room, and a cozy living room with a TV and gas fireplace. There is also a large external bunkhouse with queen bed, TV, and games table.

Second Floor:
Here you’ll find a second living room, an additional bathroom, and three comfortable bedrooms.

Upper Floor (Self-Contained):
The top level is a fully self-contained suite with no interior access to the rest of the home (access is via an exterior staircase). It includes its own kitchen, living room with TV, dining room, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms—ideal for larger groups needing extra space or privacy.

🏡 Please note: This is an older, iconic heritage-style home with all the charm and character that come with it.

🛥️ Bringing a boat? The nearby Gibsons Marina offers transient moorage. Contact them directly for availability; as of August 2024, rates were $2.20/ft/night plus tax.

🔨 A neighbouring lot is currently being developed, so daytime construction activity may be visible or audible nearby. The home, waterfront views, and evenings remain peaceful.

Neighbourhood highlights

Located at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, just north of Vancouver, Gibsons is a quaint town of artists, local restaurants, breweries, and fishing boats. Perched on a hillside, it overlooks a harbour and faces nearby islands in Howe Sound.

Gibsons has earned international recognition: it was named the “Most Liveable Community under 20,000” in a world-wide competition by the UN-backed International Awards for Liveable Communities. But, it’s perhaps most famously known as the location for the longtime hit TV show The Beachcombers, which first aired in 1972 and ran until 1990.

Nowadays, it attracts visitors with its chilled-out blend of water and land activities from scooter to kayak, canoe and SUP rentals, suitable for all ages and ability levels. Choose from kayaking, canoeing, diving, or fishing. Enjoy hiking in the Sunshine Coast’s regional and provincial parks, or play a round of golf. Relax while visiting farmers markets, dining at diverse restaurants, browsing through museums and art galleries, or checking out local festivals and events.
