Great for one night when you have a layover. Not a place to stay for longer.

Response from Chuong:
Hi Jessica, We're sorry about your inconvenience. As you booked the room for only 1 person but you stayed there with 2 more friends and didn't let us know. The 3rd person would be charged extra 5$ as we already mentioned it on our listing. That was also the reason why we only provided 2 towels in your room because we thought you only stayed there by yourself. Hope that our response would make it clear about that situation and thank you for staying with us.

Staff was friendly and very accomodating, they upgraded us to a bigger room when we arrived due to a small booking error. Location was perfectly situated to explore Saigon. Minor downside was the music coming from the adjacent bar street. Though not overwhelmingly loud, the music was noticable until about 1am. Nevertheless we came back a week later due to great price/quality and staff.

We thought the room was in a perfect location - nice and quiet in HCMC's backpacker district. The ladies running the place were obviously very nice and genuine despite not speaking much english.

We actually ended up staying at the sister hotel just next door to this because of a last minute plumbing issue, but it seems like the rooms are probably exactly alike. The room was fine, clean enough and the air conditioner was great. There was a mini fridge with water, soda and beer--they never said they'd charge us for the items we drank but they did. Not a lot, but still. Great location for walking around, close to the big market and lots of food and a nice park. The only thing was that we never actually met the host and the people at the front desk didn't speak any English so they couldn't help us with even the simplest questions. The first night we arrived, my son (almost two) slipped on the slick tile floor and hit his head pretty badly on the very sharp bathroom door jamb. We were afraid we needed medical attention and there was blood and everything but the guy downstairs didn't understand a word we said so we were on our own. That was very scary and stressful because we'd just been there 15 minutes or so and had no idea where anything was and hadn't gotten our bearings yet. Not their fault obviously, but if we could've asked just where to get ice or medicine it would've been so much better. A fine place to stay for the price but if you're into asking questions and you think you'll want some interaction, help or suggestions from the host, you might choose another spot.
